While in NY worthwhile the visit. Same Per Se cuisine while in a more cosy less sophisticated atmosphere. Good price/quality relation.

My husband and I were very pleased with our dining experience. We wanted to relax a bit before ordering and did so. We never felt rushed. I ordered fish which was nicely done -- moist and flavorful. My husband had lamb and said it was a bit tough. The service was spot on.

We are a little biased since my husband proposed to me at this restaurant, but it is still lovely and the food is still amazing. Our meal this past Friday night was perfect--I had the Lobster roasted with sweet corn, fingerling potatoes and new garlic and my husband had the lamb chops and all the different flavors were perfect. Then... More

We had to be on upper East for doctor appointments at the end of July and decided to have lunch at Jojo's, DESPITE it being Restaurant Week. Jojo's had been one of our very favorite places to eat when we first moved to Manhattan 20 years ago, but we'd gotten out of the habit because of its location far removed... More

Three of us came for the NY Summer Restaurant week. We were immediately greeted as we entered and taken to our waiting table. We all ordered drinks which arrived soon after we ordered them. Although the Restaurant Week menu is limited to only two choices for each course, they were varied enough to satisfy everyone's tastes. I had the excellent... More

My friend and I tried this place for first time during Restaurant Week and had the special restaurant week menu (which was limited in terms of 2 dishes per course), however, the choices were excellent and we each had a different one so we tried all. The place is very quaint and small a real NYC bistro feel with French... More

I’ve attended to JoJo many times before and decided to treat my mother to a nice dinner there on her birthday. It was a surprise for her and it seemed like the perfect place to take her along my siblings. We love the ambience and the food at JoJo, as well as the food at all the other Jean Georges... More

My wife and I dined at JoJo's this past Friday (July, 15th, 2016) and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The service was excellent and the creativity of the food and its quality were outstanding. My wife had the Charred Octopus appetizer and I had the Salmon Sushi appetizer. Both were excellent. Then we both enjoyed the 12oz New York Strip Steak. The... More

We chose jojo for our grandmothers 91 birthday dinner. As my wife and I had dined here many times before we were not disappointed in choosing jojo as the venue for her birthday dinner. All of our dishes were well executed and the attentive but not pushy service was excellent.

This week we visited JoJo, a romantic boutique French restaurant on the Upper East Side on the first night of our honeymoon. It was recommended by a friend and didn't disappoint. The food, old world ambience and charm, and service were outstanding, as was the wine list. When Danny, our waiter, learned that we were honeymooning, he sent us home... More

JoJo offers relaxed yet elegant dining on two floors of a quaint, turn-of-the-century brownstone on the Upper East Side. The first of Jean-Georges’ restaurants in New York City, this neighborhood gem opened in 1991 to rave reviews. It was voted best new restaurant of the year by Esquire magazine and has retained its three-star status from the New York Times for 21 years. Regarding the name, JoJo was Chef Jean-Georges’ nickname as a young boy. Jojo is a hospitable setting for a casual dinner, special occasion, or private party. Guests can feel comfortable in jeans or in evening attire. The contemporary French menu still features some well-loved original dishes, including the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
