Went with a group of 4. Ordered wine, apps and entrees. Wine was not very good. We ordered 3 different glasses and all tasted exactly the same. Appetizers were ok to good. Ordered the Buratta, Artichokes and Ricotta Bruschetta with pistachio and spicy honey. That...last appetizer was probably the best thing we had. Entrees had potential - But failed to deliver. Everything was lacking in flavor. My spicy lamb sausage with tagliatelle, spinach and wine should have been very flavorful. It tasted like bland pasta with slightly undercooked spicy lamb sausage. It had such potential! Husband ordered ravioli, which was ice cold in spots - hot in others. Probably reheated or frozen. Staff was generally nice, atmosphere was nice. But better to skip this place.More

Stopped in for dinner. Restaurant, has a nice appearance, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is good. Pastai, is a small place, with mostly bar seating and a few high top tables by the bar. We had the antipasti which was mediocre at best. The...salad we had was good. The ravioli ricotta was warm, but not hot, and over salty. The lasagna was very good and tasty. Service was friendly. If you want a plate of simple pasta, or just a drink, then this is a reasonable stop, but that’s about it.More

I just love this spot so please don't tell everyone! It's authentic italian cuisine in a great location with a very nice crew running the place. It's great for couples - I happened to be there meeting a friend that lives in NYC - but...it was mostly couples or small tables around us. It's not a big spot with a few tables outside - the kitchen is open to the dining room so you get the whole experience sitting there. The menu isn't huge which is good because I plan to come back and try one of everything. I had the lasagne al forno and am kicking myself for not ordering a serving to go. I'd definitely suggest asking for a recommendation from the server if you aren't sure. We also grabbed the high top table in the window - another good recommendation if you want to people watch and still be able to have a conversation.More

My second visit here, this time for my partner’s birthday. What a fantastic restaurant! Both visits have been excellent, with super service, a relaxed vibe, but truly outstanding cooking. We regularly visit Italy and this food is as authentic as it gets. The wines are...also great!More

A group of 6 of us ate there and no one was disappointed!! We tried each other’s dishes and loved them all. Small inside so I’d make reservations if you can but that makes it feel intimate!

They advertise house-made pasta and it is fine but not wonderful. A scallop appetizer had scallops with an odd texture, maybe because they were frozen and quick-thawed. Service was quick and avcurate

Pastai has been on our list for a while given we live in the neighborhood. We decided to finally go for brunch on a sleepy weekend. The place was half full. Cute spot, we were on a cozy side table. One server appeared to be...both host and server that morning. So things were a bit slow. Food was nothing special but enjoyable overall.More

Had a reservation for 6:30 had to wait a few minutes. Sat at the bar and had a drink for Happy Hour. Table was a bit loud, right by the servers counter. But the Food was excellent. While we were seated at the bar we...were able to see the lasagna and the gentleman next to us said it was excellent. So we ordered the equivalent of a Greek salad ( which was oK , but not sure I'd order again). And my husband ordered the beet salad - Excellent. We ended up mixing the 2 salads together and it was great. We both ordered the lasagna and were not disapointed. Good sized portion. We had to ask for bread for our table which was nice with the lasagna. Would recommend.More
