You just can't beat Blue Fin's location for a pre-theater dinner and the seafood is outstanding -- great sushi, too. The street level entry is inauspicious but the upstairs restaurant is beautiful, spacious and lively. Service is very good. Just about as good as it gets for pre-theater, combining great good and a terrific location. It will be a regular... More

Friendly service at the bar. Slow once you ask for a table despite them not being really busy. Food of a decent quality but probably overpriced but then the whole of New York is overpriced unless you are grabbing a slice of pizza and a beer at one of the caf type places.

We were surprised by the eclectic mix of seafood and fish at the Blue Fin. From Sushi to Thai Hot Pot, to grilled halibut, to broiled salmon, the food was well prepared, presented well and with excellent taste. Our server, Anthony was attentive without being intrusive. We arrived at 5:30 and were at the theater by 7:45 - perfect timing.

The staff are very nice, the place is so cozy. We sat in the upstairs dining for dinner after a Broadway show and for breakfast before starting our day the next day. Very convenient if you're staying in times square. The food was excellent. We also went there just for drinks and the staff were very accommodating, even had us... More

We went to an early dinner after a matinee. The charred Brussels sprout kale Caesar salad is to die for! Our entrees were equally delish. Swanky atmosphere, close to the theater. Definitely recommend!

Their Octopus dish is surreal. Their drinks are fantastic. The service is great as is the location. It's pricey, but worth it. I wish there were more sushi choices than what's on the menu, but what is available is great.

Lots to choose from. We dined with small children and there was something for everyone. The location is conveniently located in Times Square - near hotels and Broadway shows. My only complaint was that we had reservations, but ended up waiting a long time for a table - a good hour after our reservation time. Once seated, the service was... More

Visited for a family dinner. From appetizers to main courses to dessert the food taste, quality, and portion sizes were perfect. We each ordered something different and end up sharing just to experience all the different flavors. The service was friendly and quick. While we weren't going to a show afterwards, a lot of people were, and they got them... More

A modern seafood restaurant, where Broadway energy meets quiet sophistication. This year we are very excited to announce our three story New Year's Eve extravaganza. The celebration will include an open bar, small plates and canapes by both Chef Ivy Stark of Dos Caminos and Chef Juan Carlos Ortega from Blue Fin, live entertainment including DJs, live band, magicians, fortune tellers, acrobats, and more, and a special giveaways for every guest. Tickets are on sale now.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
