A very special countrified New York hot spot. Down home cooking, hospitality, ambience and fabulous memorabilia. Desserts are sinful and they stir wonderful concoctions at the bar. Be sure to check out each room, visit the photo booth and introduce your self to Elisa, David and Michele. Don't miss the gift shop! Excellent after a show quiet spot!

The atmosphere is fun and the food is great, especially the whiskey pork chops. And the margaritas are served in mason jars, which is a nice touch.

It seems like this restaurant is having a bit of an identity crisis. It doesn't know if it wants to be a diner, a southwest taco spot, a bbq joint, or an American restaurant. The menu is quirky and fun. My friends and I got the veggie burger, the Sloppy Jolene, the nachos, and the burrito. The food was just... More

This restaurant has been around for about 25 years, and is as fun now as it was then. We revisited it in June 2016 for the first time in well over a decade and were delighted. Portions are huge, so think twice before you order an appetizer. But if you do, go for the corndogs! The vegetarian platter is delicious,... More

We popped in this quirky and fun place from breakfast one Sunday morning. It's located in the West Village and has some great outside seating that is wonderful for people watching. The food was very good. We tried a special and a meal from the regular menu. Both were quite tasty and reasonably priced. The service was good, too. I... More

Good happy hour, cool atmosphere. friendly service. Great selection of beers and their sangria isn't bad even though it comes out of what looked like a milk 1 gallon jug! ha!

First time visiting the Cowgirl. Ordered beer and their margarita. The margarita is supposed to be something special and it was good, but $11. Ok, it was good, but that's a hotel bar price. Got the fried catfish fingers with coleslaw. Came with jalapeno tarter sauce. It was awesome! The best part of the visit. Everything else was ok.

Had a late night dinner after our arrival to NYC. Our first time visiting the city. The place is vibrating with hungry and laughterful americans. Just like the movies. The food comes in plenty. Great place to hangout.

Thank alstahl

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
