I love the mellow taste of the burger which was not too salty or oily. The burger comes in a manageable size for Asian lady like me and goes well with fries. Highly recommended if you're looking for a good burger in New York.

I had dinner tonight at PJ Clarke's. I travel on business to NYC every now and then and when I do, I look for a good pub and shepherd's pie. Well I didn't find the pie, but next in line is always pot pie. Not to worry shepherds pie will be back when it gets cold again, or so I... More

Located on Third Avenue at the corner of 55 street looks like a brick tall building only 3 floors. Inside, everything seems to have been left untouched since the time of Prohibition, but fortunately now they serve alcoholic drinks and a good beer. A characteristic mosaic floor with small white and black round tiles was anywhere old photographs walls. Obviously... More

This place is yet ANOTHER Irish Pub that is a MUST VISIT. Food can't be beat, crowd is always fun, prices are reasonable, and oh! the bar! SO VERY cool.

I love PJ's. But I suspect it is a guy's place. Most of the women I know, including my wonderful wife either don't get it or don't like it. Do the have the best food? Absolutely not. But they do have a wonderful old New York ambience. I like their burgers, which are always cooked and served as ordered, and... More

PJ Clarke's is the oldest bar in NYC. It reaks of history. Great burgers! My wife, son, and i ate there late (8:45pm) and our waiter Kevin was great. Typical NY with close tables, small washrooms, and a bit crowded. Red and white tablecloths. Charming atmosphere, and great bartender. Get a burger. Or, a lobster roll. Shrimp cocktail app was... Not hyperbole when I say this place changed my life, on account of how incredible the cheeseburger was - steering me toward a career in food. I've been back at least a dozen times since and the cheeseburger is always superb. Get The Cadillac cooked medium rare. Setting is awesome too, oozes history. They always have some solid beers as... If you like Frank Sinatra and learning about historical restaurants/bars this is a cool place to visit. I went for a very early dinner, so the dining area wasn't crowded. So the waitress was able to show me around and show me the historical highlights. The Cadillac Burger was delicious!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
