Had red wine and a grappa... it was super, and the bartender was really cool and helpful. It is a bit pricey, but they only have high end products, so I was happy to pay... good place to chill.

Very expensive for what it is, but tasty flavours and sauces. However, portion size is too big so the sauce to pasta ratio is off. Pasta is overcooked as well so a bit sloppy. Everything over salted as well.

Dumpy Italian American food. Not worth the time. A wasted eating experience. Stodgy 'home' made gnocchi. More like unpackaged at home. Meatballs of inconsistent quality and flavour, suggesting multiple batches served in one dish. Stray orchietti amongst the rigatoni. What happened there?

Frank is amazing...the burrata Mozerella is out of this world. Jesse is the best bartender, sit there and he will take great care of you!

Frank is verging on becoming a bit of a health hazard and needs a bloody good clean. We wouldn't have dined here if not for the gift coupon we were given, however it has to be acknowledged that the food blew me away.

Had a fantastic dinner with excellent food. The mussels were out of this world as was the pasta. They have a great base tomato sauce that appears in a few places. Get the mussels, the garlic bread, the bruschetta and the pasta with red sauce.

Fantastic food in eclectic atmosphere. Would go again. Every dish we had was amazing. Takes only cash.

It is a great Italian restaurant with authentic furniture and cousine. The place is not big and making a reservation is always a great idea, even days prior. They have great wine selection. I am in FnB as well and i was surprised by the wine selection they are offering. We had a Nebiolo with our meal. Service is fat... More

Very small and quirky place. We had the burata which was great, but a piece of burned bread with barely any garlic butter was $3.95....that was a rip-off. I expected good garlic bread with melted cheese, and it looked like I made it myself. Wine fine- good pour and glass is almost full, which was a nice surprise. We had... More

Eclectic, shabby chic friendly place in the E village. Standard fare, fresh and friendly. We had brunch, eggs were nicely done, coffee was hot. Nothing terribly special, but solid and friendly service.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
