The food - average (if we're talking about italian food which I think is the best cuisine in the world, this is the low middle category) The service - terrible. I get how New York works, I get that in these kind of restaurants you...More

Visited Frank Restaurant (not Franks) on the recommendation of a friend in Connecticut. The dinners were excellent and the prices reasonable, especially for NYC. The facility is typical of many restaurants in NYC in that a lot is tucked into a small space. Our server...More

By far one one of the best restaurants in the city, super loud, super fun, fast service, amazing foods, it’s a NYC restaurant to the T. Highly recommend the spaghetti limone and pappardelle mushrooms!!! Great space for friends to eat and drink.

Very good basic Italian. Try the "Gravy", real Sunday night red sauce. Other Pastas are also good, nice salad. Warning CASH ONLY. Late hours. Small with street tables. You can take your family. Good wine list

My family and I stumbled upon this jewel during a recent trip to Manhattan. Excellent meals, esp my tagliatelle with wild mushrooms.

A NY local recommended this place for authentic Italian food. The special menu was huge with many choices to choose from. Everyone enjoyed their pasta selection very much! The ingredients were fresh and well prepared. I had the black linguine pasts with calamari. It was...More

My friend recommended the place and my husband and I were excited to go. Photos on Instagram looked delicious and we ended up leaving disappointed. Went in excited to get Bufalo mozz (we were in Italy a month ago). It was super cold. Almost frozen....More

Just a warning, no cc accepted here. My adult son knows I always have cash and he dragged me here more then once. We recently sat outside and had an excellent reasonably priced dinner and appetizers. I think we both had avocado salads to start....More

East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college
students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the
old-time neighborhood feel that you can still
experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned
shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of
the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to
