Came here with a fairly large group for a team dinner. Ordered several salads, pizzas and pastas, so we got a great sampling of things to try. Everything I tasted was awesome, and the coal oven pizza is especially awesome if you really enjoy a thin and crispy crust (as we did). The service was excellent, and we ended a... More

We were looking for a quick afternoon snack and Angelo's was across the street from our hotel. We are not pizza snobs, but their pizza is what all NYC-style pizza should be. The toppings were excellent and the pizza was baked in a coal-fired oven. Our server, Edmond, was great as he gave his recommendation candidly and from the heart.... More

This place is tightly packed and for good reason, great tasting Neapolitan Pizza and decent sized salads. My one complaint would be the pizza wasn't hot enough to be warm the entire time we were eating it but we also were able to eat it as soon as it hit the table, good thing since we were starving and it... The only draw back was the attitude of my waitress but I was on NY. The pizza was probably the best I've had in the U.S. I like NY style over Chicago. Despite not having pizza by the slice I enjoyed and ate the 13 inch myself. It was wonderful!

I would almost travel to NYC again just to have the pleasure to eat there one more time, so GOOD it was !... Was recommended by our hotel just across the street since it was our first night out and we were a bit crashed with jetlag... Needless to say our "touristhiastic" meter was lower than usual... Well that goes... More

We needed a quick lunch, so we stopped at Angelo's Coal Fired Pizza. We asked if they serve slices; they do not. We didn't want to wait for a whole pizza to be cooked, so we were about to leave, but they said a small pizza could be cooked in 7 to 10 minutes. We decided to stay, and that... More

The Pizza was great and the large really is LARGE and can feed four easily. The calzone also delicious and easily fed two people. Friendly staff and a nice clean place not to far from Times Square hotels but far enough to get away from the crowds. Everything very authentic Italian.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
