I was really expecting great things, after all I'd been told about it. It's good, the drinks weren't bad but it isn't amazing by any standard.

I was flying solo on a business trip and came here because everyone I asked for recommendations told me to go. I was not disappointed. I called first to see if I could get a table as a single person without a reservation and was told to swing by and they'd do their best. I was sat immediately and had... More

The pre dinner cocktails were really good. Shared lamb chops as starter and had chicken as main course. All very good. Cool scene at bar after dinner.

We visited on a Friday night, it was packed but we were served quickly and the drinks were excellent quality. The host was very welcoming too.

Very rude doorman. Came up with the stupidest excuses that the bar was full. Food is disappointing and highly overpriced.

Our party came here for dinner and drinks and everything was splendid. The dining area was intimate, dimly lit and hummed of conversation. My friends each ordered an app and entree, but I chose to go the I-am-going-to-order-my-weight-in- appetizers-but-only-eat-a-portion-of it method. This is a fave of my compadres because as bystanders they get to partake. :) I ordered the steak... More

Coming here for a light dinner and some cocktails was one of the best ideas we had! I was set on finding some cool, niche prohibition bars around NYC and was super pleased to stumble across this place. We arrived to a short line up so naturally we thought 'this must be good'. We lined up and, as we were... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Very quirky place with a great cocktail list. Slightly pretentious entry when you are asked for your ID but I suppose that is all part of the mystique. Fast service, so maybe let them know if you aren't in a hurry.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
