This was such a pleasant surprise with incredible opera singers from places like The Met, La Scala and the piano player is phenomenal at the age of 92 years old! Food very good, service excellent, atmosphere very European and singers are over the top! Don't miss this place and it's good for all ages except children. Reservations are recommended. I... More

Food was good, atmosphere was delightful. I was there for my birthday and it was a lovely evening. I would go back again and again. The singers are lovely and the pianist is extraordinary.

Caffe Taci is located upstairs from Papillon Bistro & Bar. While I did not notice an elevator this would be a very difficult climb for someone with a disability. Their were 9 in our party this past Saturday evening & we had a wonderful time here. Unfortunately not because of the food which is very average yet fairly priced. The... More

Once you come to Taci, you will always come to Taci, its like catching up with family. Leopoldo is the most gifted host of all times. He will make you feel immediately at home. The staff is there to serve you and always works with you on how you want your food prepared.. The singers are wonderful and always new... More

We were very excited about visiting Caffe Taci after having heard about it. But the experience was a disappointment, despite the wonderful singing. The restaurant was about 25% occupied (on a Saturday evening) and the food was mediocre ... at best.

Excellent coffee, good food, good service, inexpensive. This was my favorite spot for lunch or dinner out in my starving student days, and still no trip to New York is complete without a stop here.

Charming restaurant with lovely opera entertainment on the weekends. Generous portions and the bread is simply to die for.

I love this place. I come frequently and I always enjoy it. The singers are great. The staff is like a family, the meals are tasty. Make sure you have a reservation and come early, as the place is crowded. It's pricy but it's really worth it.

We were a table for 2 - and the place was packed. So packed that we had to stand up each time the table next to us wanted to get up. The menu looked good, but the quality of the food was poor. My antipasto was a plate of cheap cold cuts with a few olives on top - not... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
