I love this place...the vibe, the calamari, the pasta, the veal, the shortcake. Our waiter was very efficient...in and out, quick on refills or whatever we needed even though he was supporting several tables. Someday I'll dine here with a group of 20...what a joy that'd be. Do get a ressie or plan for a very long wait...or no dinner.

I convinced my friends from the western states to come to Carmines for a great Italian meal, but I have to say I was disappointed, even though I had eaten there a number of years earlier and loved the meal...things change.

Wherever we travel, my wife and I always look to see if Carmine's restaurant is located near to our destination. We also make sure that when we go to Carmine's we have the ability to take left-overs back to our room, where we also make sure we can reheat and serve this great food ....so often we get three meals... I worked in New York for years, been to the theater district more times than I can count, but for some reason I never ate at Carmine's. Now I regret all the time that I've spent going to the restaurants! The family style portions are generous and the food is prepared fresh. We had chicken marsala and Penne vodka pasta,... More

We used Yelp to find an Italian restaurant near our hotel...and found Carmine's. It serves family style. My co-worker is vegetarian and I am not. Hard to share. So we asked about lunch portions and found they had a limited menu of options. I ordered spaghetti with sausage; my co-worker ordered rigatoni with broccoli. Both dishes were ok. Nothing spectacular.... More

Carmine's is an Italian restaurant that is a short walking distance from most Broadway theaters. It might be a little touristy but we were ok with that because the atmosphere and the food were really good! Food is served family-style so they are huge portions large enough for 3-4 to share. I definitely recommend a reservation, we were able to... More

Sunday evening; 45 min wait or the bar upstairs..... the bar upstairs sounds great. Went up and was welcomed by a wonderful man who was pleasant and informative. He was very friendly and made the dinner that much better! We ordered the penne alla vodka and added chicken for 8 dollars more. It was delicious. The plate was huge!! We... More

While the size of the servings are enormous, and the ambience is very nice, unfortunately the quality of the pasta, especially the tomato sauce in the seafood pasta, is disappointing with watery parts mixed with thick. The seafood including lobster were also overcooked, nor is the overall dish very tasty, possibly due to the tomatoes used for the sauce. There... More

COME HUNGRY! Seriously, the portions are huge. My mom, sister, and I all shared an appetizer and pasta dish and had plenty left over. If you like artichokes get the stuffed artichoke appetizer. Yummy!!! We ended up taking leftovers to a homeless man (which we actually did with all of our leftover food; why just leave it on the table... More

Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.
