Dinner was wonderful. It's so nice to sit down and have a family style meal. Food is delicious. We had Chicken Parm, Penne Vodka, Spaghetti with oil and Calamari. Plus, the ice cream boat. You really need to book months in advance. Sometimes they have room for 2. But, reservations are really recommend.

I have dined at Carmine's twice, once with a business group and once with family. They are great for seating large parties and the family-style large portions support the large groups. This time we had the veal piccata, chicken piccata, lasagna and spaghetti bolognese. The food was fantastic, everyone was stuffed, and we had left-overs. In addition, their chocolate torte... More

Big servings family style! Each dish will serve 3-4 easily. We got lasagna and stuffed mushrooms and couldn't finish it. If you go pre-theater times you will have a wait. We waited 45 minutes for 2. They are set up more for larger parties. All in all a good place to get good food.

Substantial portions and if it is not crowded very good service. Choice of wines is average for NYC. Favorite dish was the Chicken Parm.

This is a great place to eat. The portions are very large. You can get a few dishes and share ( I usually do not share as I can eat a lot). But here it is best to get a few different dishes and share. Reservations are difficult because it is good. You can have a dinner for 2 or... More

Very busy restaurant. Decorated nicely for the Christmas season. Served family style meals. I was with my husband and daughter so we ordered only 2 dinners to share. Portions were huge! Plan to take stuff home if your able to. We had veal scallopene which was just ok and rigatoni with a meat sauce which was good. Not great but... More

This restuarant is family style only so the food portions are huge! We had a group of 10 so it worked out perfectly for us to order several different dishes to share. The chicken parmesan was my favorite along with the fresh salad. We had the titanic for dessert and it was a big hit! You will most likely need... More

Omg food! the portions size huge, they are for family, so order what everyone likes and share. They don`t do smaller portions do found it expensive as only 2 had dinner, and both had different dinners. Well worth a visit food could not be faulted and you can get a doggy bag!

Description
Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
