You are not going to be blown away by this place. We weren't. Average food - pasta was served cold, we were sitting outside. Service was very slow. And the food really nothing to wrote home about. Had to walk all the way inside to...pay at the terminal - who still does that? And inside felt industrial. UnderwhelmingMore

4 of us for dinner. All of us love Italian and Chelsea Ristorante exceeded our expectations. Service excellent. Food perfect. Go if you’re in the area.

This place saved us. In town for a meeting with 6 others. We ordered out. 40 minutes after our food was to arrive, the restaurant from which we ordered told us--we had to call them--that our order had "been cancelled because we're too busy." With...no reservation, at the peak of dinner hour, Chelsea Ristorante found a round table to seat us all and took care of us well throughout our meal--amuse bouches and free dessert wine at the end. Attentive throughout the meal. Homemade ravioli and tiramisu were excellent.More

Stopped in Chelsea for lunch while vacationing in NYC. Very nice, clean place to eat. Both mine and my girlfriend's lunches were excellent. In particular, the chicken cutlet I had with a salad was the best I have had in some time. Prices were also...reasonable for NYC.More

The food here was amazing. The calamari was perfectly fried and not greasy. The accompanying sauce had a nice kick to it. The brunch sizes were perfect, and they had an amazing selection of desserts. Service was excellent!

I've been in the West Village for decades but this is the first time I've eaten at this restaurant right near my home. I enjoyed the fried zucchini appetizer and the mushroom pizza (made with a brick oven). The prices are reasonable. I would readily...return.More

The food is tasty, so well prepared, and the service is friendly and attentive. They have half orders of pasta, which we always love, and it always encourages us to have a delicious appetizer. Great eggplant parm, and calamari, and a nice arugula/fennel salad. Pizzas...are a great appetizer as well.More

I eat lunch at this restaurant once twice a week and I am never disappointed. It is reasonably priced and I have never been disappointed. I normally have the veal milanese or the chicken with zucchini and peppers. The staff is very attentive and professional....This type of good old fashion Italian restaurant is disappearing from NYC every day.More

got the caprese and the pasta special. Carpese wasvery good though I prefer more than one basil leaf and it is April so expected more flavorful tomatoes but the mozzarella was outstanding. The black linguine special with zuchini and shrimp was only so so and...when I asked for cheese they brought me the dreaded cheese from a can not the fresh grated parmigiano reggiano. Service was great but of course I was there at 530 with only 3 other tables. Will try another spot next time.More
