I've been enjoying the delicious burgers here for 25 years. The beef chili with cheese & onions is just as good as their burgers! The fries always come out perfectly hot and crispy. I turned my friends & family onto this tavern a long time ago & they always want to come back, for at least one meal, when they're... More

Corner bistro was recommended by some local people in West Village. The burgers did not disappoint though the staff were not as friendly as we had grown to expect in NY. It seemed very much 'get in, eat then out'. I had the chicken burger which was tender and well seasoned. The fries were tasty too and the house wine... More

Three words: Deep fried bacon. I consider myself an authority on burgers on a nationwide basis. Surely others have had more burgers than I have, but I still deserve my own TV show on Food Network. I feel highly qualified. That being said: My first Corner Bistro experience was a graduation of sorts. The Bistro Burger isn't merely a burger,... More

Visited the Corner Bistro with some friends who traveled to NYC from Madrid, Spain and we all loved it! The burgers were pretty big, delicious, and topped with whatever you asked for. I asked for mine as a "lettuce wrap" due to my need to eat gluten free, and they were very willing to accommodate my need. It was truly... More

I had one of their cheeseburgers and a side of fries, along with a nice drink. Listen--for the big burger and generous portion of fries, you can't beat the price in NYC. No, the menu doesn't have many choices, but if you want a burger, who needs them? The cheeseburger was hefty; almost like a homemade one--not "perfect" in its... More

I've been to Corner Bistro twice now and while the burger remains tasty and well-priced for NY, the grilled cheese was a mess. It's a student's pub without frills, the ac was on the drafty side, and service was friendly enough. Stick to the burger when you're in the area.

The meat was very good (excellent quality) but the chiliburger was disgusting!!! The bread was all wet and it looked like vomit on my plate... Very expensive too!!! BUT very good French fries and my friends were satisfied by their burgers... Does not deserve its reputation... Air conditioning too cold

Seriously! The bistro burger is the best, basic kinda cheeseburger I've ever had. Went with local friends there and it felt like a hidden gem. High quality beef and made well. Cool place and it's affordable.

A nice local and genuine restaurant. We had chili burger and bistro burger which was good and affordable. Cheep beer and good service! We truly recommend a stop here while walking around West Village!

What you see, is what you get. Simple menu with well prepared burges and fries. That’s it. And its good. All American style, no green stuff to confuse, but focus on the meat in the burger. The place was very busy when we visited, and to some extend loud. So it’s a nice place to eat, and to leave.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
