My family of four and I had a lovely time at the Cupping Room. It's just a block off broadway and in a beautiful part of SoHo. They have gluten - and lactose free options, which is an added bonus!

One of the best breakfasts we have had. The eggs Benedict were superb. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Found this cafe on yelp and thought to give it a shot. Had a little trouble finding it even though our Uber driver told us we had arrived. We wandered around a little bit until we finally found this little gem. The food was decent I wouldn't say it was the most incredible meal I've eaten but the place it's... More

Every time I come to New York then I have to visit this place for breakfast. It's just delicious and I can't knock the service or food over the few years I've come to this city. Once again the food was fresh and hot with coffee strong and amazing. A perfect start to any day.

We came here for our last brunch out before heading back to the UK and are glad we did! I had a treat and had Stuffed French Toast, which was awesome and came with cream cheese, granola and fresh fruit. Having never had french toast this was a good start! Very filling, I coudn't finish it all. Tasted even better... More

Stopped here with the kiddos (6&8) on the way into NYC on a Tuesday morning ... so pretty dead, we were able to walk and sit immediately. For us the timing was perfect ... the vibe here is way too trendy for the family. I think probably hard to beat in terms of trendy and fun NYC for couples and... More

Nice atmosphere. Fresh food with quality ingredients. Prices are fair. Wait staff is very good.i had the jarlsburg and mushroom omelette with home fries. The coffee was very good and they have pots of freshly brewed tea. The French toast looked amazing.

Very busy place but food and service were great. Staff were helpful. Toilets were right opposite the food servery which I found a bit unusual from an Aussie standard.

i went to the cupping room cafe for a nice place to eat, drink tea, and work. it's an interesting interior, dark and cavernous looking as you enter with a bright, almost conservatory-style section in the back. i had gluten free buckwheat pancakes which were fine. and then i was a nightmare of a customer, not happy with one pot... Description
The Cupping Room Cafe was established in 1977. It was originally a wholesale coffee establishment. Different blends of coffee were brewed and tasted by perspective customers. This act of blending and tasting different coffees is called cupping - hence the name The Cupping Room. The coffee tasting went so well that the owners decided to change the name from The Coffee Connection to The Cupping Room Cafe. They also decided to open the back of the store and sell coffee and pie to the local artists.

The building hosting The Cupping Room is a landmark building. It was the first "tall" building in SoHo and is more than 100 years old. The high tin ceilings, hard wood floors, pot-belly stove and exposed brick walls are all part of the original setting.

The Cupping Room was a home for artists and locals. Today it is still a neighborhood place where you can see the locals and the famous come together in our homey environment.
