We really enjoyed the food - I would consider it french "comfort" food. Loved my salad with the egg and my cassoulet, my friend got a fish dish she loved as well - had a great light dressing on it. The champagne by the glass was also good and service was nice, not rushed or overly attentive. Bread was also... More

A wonderful little restaurant that will take you back to visits in France. We started with the onion tart and it was wonderful. The duck and the lamb were perfect and the deserts and wine list were very good. Good value for NYC too. Service was impecable!

It feels like a French restaurant not least because New Yorkers are like the French in that they all like to talk at once! The service was excellent and my duck was fantastic! The food came quickly so I suspect it was microwaved but I'm pretty sure it was cooked on the premises and it tasted great!

A small, intimate restaurant with excellent food, fine wine and great service. Great place to be a regular because it's a neighborhood favorite. Their soups are great and their meat and duck choices excellent. Always some specials. Nice little bar in the front. Just a few tables in back and they do get busy, so make a reservation. A few... It's the second time in a number of years, and I'd willingly go back. Food is fine, service professional. You get neither more nor less space than typical in mid-town restaurants. It's not too noisy. Three with drinks and no desert before tip was $145.89 - it's easier to pay more at other similar places.

Every neighborhood needs one, but few neighborhoods have one: an excellent, reasonably priced, friendly French bistro. Featuring the cuisine of Southern France, Deux Amis offers a good wine list, broad choice of entrees, seafood, meats and truly excellent cous-cous.

Great little French bistro. Food is consistently good with excellent dairy free soups. Sidewalk seating is available and service is attentive and friendly. The Buck burger is a favorite.

Chose this restaurant by the TripAdvisor reviews. It did not leave me down. Wonderful food, service and ambience and a fair price. Will surely return again.

Came to NYC with lots of "must do" from friends, this place wasn't on the list as it is a bit off the main drags, but a fantastic little find. It is a small and very atmospheric French Restaurant, lots of locals. Being just 2 we walked in off street and got a table, but looked like you might need... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
