I had tickets to see Jersey Boys (2pm show on a Saturday). I went online to look for a restaurant nearby the show. Almost directly across the street from Jersey Boys is Gallagher's Steak House. Their website looked good plus my wife's maiden name was Gallagher so I thought this would be a good option for lunch before the show.... More

Been stuck waiting for my friend to join. No water refill for half an hour and had to order twice with 2 different waiters to get my entre. Then it was missing desserts to go even after I mentioned 3x. Sorry, I just would never come back again. Food was very casual, could have done better at home. Steak over... More

Just back from a wonderful first trip to NY . We were looking forward to having a great steak , unfortunately Gallaghers did not come up with the goods, most disappointing meal ever . And having left most of our food on our plates, not once were we ask how our meal was . Poor food , poor service

We had a brilliant time in Gallaghers from the moment we arrived. Our server was really knowledgable about the various steaks and told countless stories of New York. We all had sirloin and it was cooked to perfection with a fantastic taste. We followed up with New York cheesecake which is a must. A great birthday celebration and well looked... More

Everything you expect from a New York steak house. Great steaks, good service, good atmosphere, busy and pricey. Can't wait to go back.

we had a business dinner/meeting here and the food wine and service was excellent. Typical New York prices, but was very much worth it! sides dishes are massive and easily shared. Our waiter Adam was excellent and not too pushy !!

We have been here many times. Gallagher's is quintessential NYC!! You go here when you want a classic, old time steak house...............you go here for great service...........you go here when you don't care what the cost is...........you go here to see the dry aged steaks in the front windows..........you go here for a classic Martini..........you go here knowing that there's... We use to come here every trip to NYC because it was nostalgia for my husband who ate here when he was young with his parents. I always found it quite ordinary. NOT ANY LONGER! Gallagher's closed for awhile and then reopened with a new owner and new management (so we were told.) I think it's the truth because we... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
