My wife and I enjoyed a drink in this lovely, long established restaurant. We went in before going to a show and it was packed. Drinks were great and all of the waiters were very smart and looked like they had been there for years. Although we didn't eat all of the food coming out to diners looked fantastic and... More

I heard a lot about this steak house. Very disappointed. The steaks are definitely very average and extremely over price. Very average service. I ordered a Medium raw Filet Mignon, instead I got an over grilled/cooked beef. Taste terrible. I complained to the manager and he tried to talk me into how a middle raw beef was cooked. But in... We were greeted by a welcoming hostess who honored my request for a quiet table. She gave us a choice of banquet seating or a sweet little two top in a corner which turned out to be perfect for my elderly dad. (Noise levels in larger rooms can be challenging.) Our server Ben could not have been kinder or more... More

We came here on leisure after reading many boasting reviews online. Upon entering, we were met by a room of meats and thought we were In the right place for a great steak. Ordered the prime rib, which the waiter informed us was no longer available and kindly jested had we been here early we could have enjoyed. NOT COOL.... More

I dined at Gallagher's 3 weeks ago and thankfully some wonderful things never change in NYC - I used to dine there frequently 50 years ago, and have dined there a few times within the last few years and their attention to beef and fish is the same. I had the Swordfish which was very tender and cooked beautifully. Another... More

Oh my word! What a wonderful steak dinner. Whatever is known about the preparation and finishing of red meat, then it is known in this establishment. A bit pricey yes but you really get what you pay for and the fruit and nut loaf in the bread basket is quite simply genius. Enough said!

Love this place, they serve the most delicious steaks. You can see them cooking over the flame grill. Staff are fantastic, helpful and very knowledgeable. Cocktails are great and food portions are good. Take a look at the meat store as you walk through the door. Very enjoyable.

Gallagher is an institution; I do not know how it happened that I went there for the first time only last week after so many visits to NYC. Just above Times Square, we had to wait some 20 minutes to be seated (which is a sign of a busy and successful place), but the experience was fantastic. Great steaks (and... More

This is a bit late as visited in January. Although a little expensive side, this was just around the corner from our hotel in Times Square. Wonderful room very classes, not for vegetarians as slabs of meat and joints in freezers on display as you walk in. Service great, steaks to die for, Large portions. Would defiantly go again- defiantly... More
