I went there on Sunday, July 24, 2016 and found a hair in my food. The manager was actually very rude and aggressive towards me and accused me of it being my own hair. The hair clearly was that of the men that worked there short, straight and black which was nothing like mine, but he still was awful. The... More

I've been coming here for more than 40 years and the Gyros are always the same - fresh, delicious, with a sauce that's to die for! Their portions are huge(especially the platters) and the meat is tender and delicious. Don't be deceived by its bland exterior; this is fast food at its finest! I've been to Greek festivals all over... More

The food here is reasonable. The service is quick and the staff is friendly. The sauce is apparently open for debate. I personally didn't like it. The lady in front on me got a gyro with extra sauce with just a little bit more sauce with yes just put a bunch of sauce on it. To each their own. I... More

This no nonsense gyro and pizza spot is a decent place to grab a quick bite. Friendly staff and large portions are plus, the minus is no free refills on fountain drinks and limited seating once you order at the counter.

Sure...there are many places to have a really good gyro in New York. A web search will reveal a host of locations. My recommendation is to not waste your time looking anywhere else. Gyro II makes the very best gyro you can find...and that includes the Queens neighborhood of "Little Greece" (in Astoria). I've been going here since the 1970's,... More

Just as I get off at Penn Station I was overwhelmed at all the people... After a long morning at the office, a quick flight to NYC, an adventure in traveling from Newark to NYC, I saw Sponelli's! Starving, I made my way across the street and walked inside. I ordered the Gyro, no tomato, and it was only $10... More

I have been eating at Gyro II since I was in Elementary School and never miss a chance to stop by and eat a Gyro when in NYC. This is a pure comfort food for me and the sauce and pitas along with the lamb are amazing.

Been going here for 35 years. The best tasting gyro in NYC. The sauce is the secret ingredient. I would give it six stars but dropped it to 5 because the bathrooms are horrible, but who cares.

I enjoyed my lamb gyro, very tasty. Almost comparable to what you would eat in Greece. Service was fast, friendly. Restaurant was cleaner than most.
