We called in for an early dinner as I was craving some sushi. Had the shrimp and vegetable tempura and it was amazing!! The service was good but the restaurant does lack a little ambience and personality. Be careful what you order as the price adds up quickly!

Dined here with my mother and friend before seeing Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Sondheim Theatre. We hadn't made reservations, which is recommended given how packed this place was, but we lucked out and got a table. Eating dinner at the sushi bar is also an option. If you're in a rush, tell your waiter your time constraint... More

I find sometimes that sushi could be quite the same everywhere; however, this place has the perfect balance of quick service and high quality. Situated in the middle of Time Square this place has what you need. I was on a business lunch and we ordered the “Sushi for two”, what a perfect selection and great taste, order sake (cold... More

A couple of blocks near the theaters in Time Square. Excellent sushi with some really inventive rolls. Great cocktail options as well. Quick service!

I am an old fan of Hair before it moved to its current location about 18 months ago. The old Haru servwd good fish and always had folks at the sushi bar and bar creating a nice vibe. Since moving I have been here on several ocassions and am not returning. The fish is still good but the new location... More

Walked in without reservations and were seated right away. Good service, good food. Lots of choices and quality of the fish was really high. Very enjoyable.

Haru was recommended to me by my sister who lives in NYC, she prefaced it by saying it was the best sushi in the city. We eat Japanese often at home but I do have to say, this was up there with the best. Attentive service, very fresh sushi, beef negamaki was delicious as well. Nice atmosphere. Try the fried... More

The Symphony sushi appetizer is on of my all time favorite sushi appetizers EVER. I've had it at all of their locations and I've renamed it "Sex on chopsticks", it's that good. Other items we had: Grammercy park roll. Too much lemon. Overpowered. Spicy titanic - very good Kiss of fire - spice lovers rejoice!

The filet was amazing. The bloody Mary was lacking flavor, sushi and sashimi ok, and the calamari hidden in lettuce was so so. Service was good and fast to accommodate a show. Reservations were easy through open table. I would go back again so don't hesitate. Price was reasonable. Attmosphere was very nice and upscale but comfortable...

After arriving in New York following 27 hours of flying from Sydney Australia we looked for a simple meal with friends. Haru was more than that. Great service, great Japanese food selections and helpful staff ensured we had a relaxed and satisfying experience. Welcome to New York! We, I, recommend the Haru to any people, travellers or locals alike, Cheers

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
