Where can you go in NYC for great food, warm ambiance and fantastic service. It's here! We arrived with a party of 18 and they seated us with the caveat that we had to be in and out in 90 minutes. We didn't feel rushed at all. Each of the high school kids found food they could afford and we... More

Joe Allen’s is on 46th Street’s restaurant row, in the heart of the theatre district. It’s brick walls and low lights create an intimate setting, and the long wooden bar is a great spot to pull up a stool. More a destination that a gourmet experience, the fun is in the posters of failed shows that line the walls and... More

I spent a lot of time researching restaurants in the theatre district, since we were seeing a matinee of Aladdin. Although difficult, I decided on this restaurant as we would also be celebrating a birthday (this was noted on the open table reservation). When we arrived, we (family of 5) were promptly seated right beside the hostess area at the... More

Joe Allen was just right for dinner before the theater. It's a nice place but not pretentious. Very reasonable, well located, friendly and an overall pleasurable experience.

It is a nice place with no windows, all brick walls and dim light. Quite cosy. The food is good but not exceptional. It is reasonably priced but not cheap. Good service. Good choice if you are nearby. Not recommended if you have to cross the city to get there.

Our party had a great experience with the Joe Allen from reservation to service. We had a very efficient wait staff and our lunch was great. We attended a show after and had plenty of time for an enjoyable meal and made it to our show with time to spare. Our food was good and our server recommended terrific desserts... More

We were greeted and served with a smile and some character with each individual that served us which lent to the Broadway feel. I ordered the meatloaf thinking that rather gravy which came with it I would have preferred a marinara type sauce and low and behold the gentleman seated at the table next to ours ordered a plain meatloaf... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
