We had tried to come to dinner and didn't have reservations... so we came back another night with reservations. Maybe our expectations were set high...it was ok. Our server was new very nice young man. He did a good job, we ordered the meat loaf and the liver. I didn't really care for the meatloaf I've had better... and the... More

4 of us wandered in late on a Tuesday night. Not sure of the time but it was after a show and hanging around to see the actors sign autographs. Small, cozy place. Walked in and were seated immediately. Service was friendly and quick. Food was excellent (I had the brisket sandwich - wow). Others had the hamburger, lobster roll,... More

We booked a table for when we visited New York and were not disappointed. The staff were lovely, food was great, atmosphere really good. It was the most expensive meal we had whilst in New York but worth it.

This moderately priced restaurant on Restaurant Row is a great place for before or after the theatre. Super service, nice Basement atmosphere and very good to excellent food. Burgers are super but this time I had Steak Tartare...a little different but still very yummy. Good wine list...priced right. You get a lot of locals and theatre folk there.

This past Tuesday, my friend and I visited Joe Allen's Restaurant for the first time. Was very excited, as I always wanted to dine here. Usually after the Wednesday matinee, actors from different shows may be seen here. We didn't see any actors, as it was not a Wednesday. Loved the restaurant, very warm and cozy. Brick walls, and charming.... More

Joe Allen's is within walking distance from Times Square. If you go after 9:00pm (when Hamilton is over) you should have a reservation. My entree was part of the after 8:00pm menu, fried eggs and cheddar cheese over chorizo chili and a fried tostada. Just the right amount of spice. We also ordered the famous cheese burger with the white... More

It is conveniently near most of the Broadway Theaters and the staff at Joe Allens is aware that most patrons are on their way to a show and try to keep the service very efficient. Definitely a great value for a NYC restaurant.,... More

Managed to get a table at 8:00 without a reservation but I think we were lucky. The atmosphere was very good, the service was very friendly and efficient. The food and wine were of very good quality and the pricing was consistent with Restaurant Row.

Joe Allen's is my favorite theater district restaurant. Always good food and great service with a smile. You can't go wrong with their Caesar or house salad, guacamole, burgers, soups, escargot, steak tartar, lobster rolll, Thai vegetable stew and fish specials.

Joe Allen's has been around since 1965 and it is clear to see why. We recently had dinner there before the theater. First of all, the politeness of everyone, especially the man answering the phone was so welcoming. The prices were very reasonable and the food was extremely tasty. We got there at 5:30 for an 8 show and after... More
