This restaurant is in my neighborhood. I used to come here a lot when I was younger. I just went this past weekend and was very disappointed. The food is soooo mediocre. Take their biscuits--dry, chalky, bland, turn to cement in your mouth. I literally would rather have a Pilsbury biscuit from a can. And one biscuit as a side... More

Muffins straight out of the oven stuffed with fresh-tasting blueberries. Organic coffee like we make at home (better than Starbucks). Very cheery waitress. Large selection of breakfast selections. We had the omelet, farmhouse breakfast, pancakes. Everything was fresh, simple and attractively prepared. The salad was yummy. Jams are homemade. We will be back!

My sister took me here while I was visiting and we had a wonderful breakfast! Excellent service, food was delivered quickly but we felt comfortable to stay and chat. Highly recommend!

Have to find our way back here more often (it's not exactly around the corner for us). What a pleasant surprise. We went on the recommendation of "foodies" (chefs and otherwise) and were not disappointed. Attentive service, generous portions and, oh yeah..good food!

We took the time to catch the subway after a recommendation and were not disappointed!! Great food, friendly service, well priced. I had the lumberjack breakfast and it was mega!! Highly recommend booking or you will be waiting at peak times - well worth it though!!

I enjoyed breakfast at this restaurant and the service and food quality were great. However, the seating was very uncomfortable. Good location, just a block up from the Columbia campus. Price was mid-range, not great for students but they did offer a student discount.

Whilst visiting New York and staying in Harlem we found this little gem! We had to wait a few minutes until we were seated but that was fine! We had a friendly waiter who although he seemed very busy always took time for us! If you stay in the area it's definitely worth a visit for brunch or lunch. Prices... More

On a 5000 mile road trip up and down the east coast, this is one of the best breakfasts we had. The blueberry pancakes were perfect. Get the maple syrup. We are from the south, and they even did their grits right. Awesome biscuits with homemade apricot butter...so delicious. Our waiter was so friendly, he even sat down and started... More

Kitchenette is a really nice place to get a bite of Southern down-home cooking at a reasonable price. The biscuits are really good, as are the grits. There are also the American breakfast basics on the menu: pancakes, waffles, sausage (turkey sausage if you want) and some healthier options. Not a greasy spoon, kinda more like "health conscious" southern---meaning not... More

Just 6 minutes from Columbia University and 10 minutes from the Aloft, this restaurant on the edge of Harlem was a great find. Julie served the four of us four different dishes: coffee cake (yum), grits & eggs, French toast and a breakfast sandwich. All were delicious and staff pleasant & attentive.
