My husband went for a business dinner and suggested to go back for a family lunch, claiming the salmon was one of the best he ever had. So off we went on Father's Day and I did order the salmon. Wow. Yes, happy to declare it was the BEST salmon I ever had. We ordered also the cold appetizer (cold... More

I enjoy walking into the smaller NYC restaurants. The best are the Italian restaurants. Paul & Jimmy's did not disappoint. I like the feel of their cozy setting. Perfect for a special romantic dinner for two or enjoying a friendly meal with a group of your friends. Great menu for people looking for traditional Italian dishes or someone wanting to... More

Amazingly steady and reliable. The clams to start are as special as they were 40 years ago. We recently had pasta primavera, veal and a surprisingly delicious NY Strip steak as main dishes. Tables nicely spaced so you can carry on a conversation. Staff very attentive and helpful.

Looking for an escape from contemporary chaos? For a restaurant where the food is old-fashioned delicious, the welcome warm and the ambience both cozy and comfortable? Then head over to this tried and true survivor of a gentler time in Manhattan; you'll be pleased you did and, I suspect, you might well become a regular.

Thanks to open table I found this amazin gem. Small yet cozy restaurant in the union square area. I decided to try them out and give them my test. Basically if the lasagne is good then everything else should follow. I was right. Perfect portion, meaty with flavor. Great job

It was Monday, so maybe they had an off day, but this experience did not live up to the hype. The décor and ambiance were great. The service friendly but very slow. The food, ok, not great. We had four people and traded bites. The Chicken Cacciatore was excellent. The ravioli, linguini and another pasta dish were just ordinary.

I knock noisy restaurants off my list every week, but not Paul and Jimmy's. It is deliciously quiet where you can sit for a long, lovely meal of Italian classics and pleasant conversation. The wait staff here is very accommodating, so if you want some thing special, ask and they will do their best to please you. The white table... More

Small Italian restaurant. Good service. The bread was fresh and good. The ravioli with bolognese was freshly made and tasty. The lemon sorbet was served in carved out lemon and was very natural tasting. Caprese salad could have used basil and drizzle of oil. I would definitely recommend.

In New York for a dinner with my children to celebrate a graduation and we couldn't have picked a better place. Service was excellent and food was outstanding. Server was very friendly and joking but not overly so. I had the lentil salad special which was unique and delicious. Others had a broccoli small plate that was equally good. Two... More

Special for the night - Liver - could cut it with a fork. Lovely mild sauce. Others at the table had pasta. All enjoyed their food too. Quiet atmosphere making it nice to sit and visit without shouting.
