Lousy service. Hair in our food. Took 25 minutes for some hot water for tea and the restaurant wasn’t even crowded. The server was rude and the food, overall, was bland and unimaginative.

The southwestern kale salad looked great - on paper. The kale was not massaged. Minimal 'southwest' attributes - that is, very little corn and very little black beans. I went in hungry and came out hungrier.

Needing a quick bit before heading out, we stopped in to the Playwright. Great service and decor and decent food. We had the Guiness Fish & chips, Buffalo wrap and bacon, avocado baguette. Food was good and so was the service.

Have a New York strip. Very good done exactly as I asked. Accompanied by mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. Price was typical for New York, maybe a little less. Service was fabulous. Highly recommend. Very close to many good theaters

My daughter and I had a great lunch at Playwrights before seeing Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers theater. It is right around the corner. Highly recommended!!

This pub is very well located in midtown, particularly for theatre goers. It was a last minute choice for us and while the ambience was definitely publike and authentic and the service friendly, I found the food quality lacking. I ordered fish and chips (seemed...More

Diane & I stopped by on our first night in NY. It was ok but we found cheaper & better hostelries on subsequent days and didn't feel the need to return.

We enjoyed this so much, I’m writing a positive review while finishing brunch! Generous portions and our waitress was awesome. Well worth it.
