This is my go to place when I have friends or business people in town and want them to love their dinner experience. The margaritas, sangria, guacamole, carne guisada & bistec con hongos are ALL always delicious!

Ate dinner here with a friend. Arrived around 7pm on a Saturday night and wasn't too crowded. Very nice wait staff, delicious and STRONG frozen margs. Free chips and housemade salsa to start. My friend ordered the burrito and really enjoyed it. I opted for 3 sides - kale, rice and beans, and polenta... all so very delicious and flavorful!... More

With so much choice in the city it is reassuring to find a restaurant where service, charm and flavor are delivered in equally generous portions. A wonderful taste-fest and quite possibly the best Burrito on the East Coast. An unlikely location makes this venue difficult to fall upon by accident but absolutely worthy or the walk from the Metro. Arrive... More

This was a nice restaurant in Chelsea and we loved the ambiance, the food choices (nice twists on traditional Mexican food).

A friend told us about the Rocking Horse back in 2001 and we have returned on every NY visit since. Hard to beat for a solid margarita and good food. We try not to order too much but the food is well prepared, modern, with clean tastes and a light hand in the kitchen.

What a great find! This is a small cafe and it was a beautiful day to sit on the street front patio watching the bustle of NYC. The chips were huge, very tasty with an unusual salsa that was thick and creamy - I loved it. I had the green corn tamal with shrimp that was listed an an appetizer.... More

We stopped by here one night for dinner based on a friend's recommendation. The food was excellent, as were the margaritas, although the Cadillac margarita was a little pricey. The food was plentiful. In retrospect, we could have shared an entrée. Recommended.

Once again we had brunch in the Ricking Horse Cafe and once again we were very pleased with the delicious menu options, and the service. A lovely place and strategically located for those who love the Joyce Theatre!

I've passed by this place a million times - but it was only when a friend made reservations that I had an excuse to check it out. I was honestly blown away - the salsa is delicious (actually beyond delicious)... my veggie burrito was meaty, juicy & filling - and the fresh donuts for dessert were the perfect finish to... More
