It's been a while since I visited NYC and I was looking forward to some good food but I never expected this. My friend Cliff and his lovely wife Carmen suggested Uncle Jacks for dinner and they could handle 8 of us. They did not disappoint, we were seated in the second floor loft area for privacy and the service... More

I was taken to Uncle Jack's for my birthday, it was with great anticipation due to all the great things I heard about the steak house. The appetizer I chose were the Meatballs, perfect as far as meatballs go; Caesar Salad was about what is expected; Garlic Mashed and Creamy Spinach was very good but my main dish, the Prime... More

Had a wonderful host and fine meal. The lamb rack with tabouleh was excellent, while the spinach with garlic was good too, but I would have preferred it pureed. Very good wine list, I had a killer Penfolds Shiraz, but not cheap.

Marginal experience, at best. Food, service, atmosphere, price, attitude and slow (slothlike) waitstaff. NY'S finest Steakhouse. Not so much.

A good meal, but discovered the tip had been adjusted upwards by ten dollars after leaving the restaurant. $25 tip obviously considered insufficient.

My partner and I visited New York for one week and decided to try Uncle Jack's on our first evening in the city. We opted for the Porterhouse steak for two. We asked for medium cooked steak and it was cooked to perfection! I'm not a steak lover, but after hearing so much about the place, I was happy to... More

Great service and nice atmosphere. Great for romantic, special dinners and business dinners. Get the filet. Raw at appetizer plate. Not a plate to eat cheap. Dress up. Not good for little kids please leave them at home. Ask to sit upstairs at the round table overlooking the lower floor.

Started going to this restaurant for lunch back in 2006/2007. It was really good back then and their steak was the best in the city. Have gone back twice recently and not as good as I remember it. Would still recommend if looking for an above average meal. The wait staff could care less if you are there or not.... More

Great steak. Shared porterhouse for two and it was delicious. Stopped in for a dinner before a show at the Hammerstein

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
