My favourite sushi spot in NYC! I truly NEVER leave reviews... (maybe once or twice a year) but after yet another great order on UberEats (where they are called ‘Sushi Manor’) I had to come online and make an account to recommend this place to everyone. Always delicious food and a great price. Especially love the variety of options so that I’m not eating the same thing I always do when I get sushi. Always fresh and delicious.
I have lived in Manhattan now for 2 years and have tried many of the top sushi restaurants like Tao and Nobu - not to mention have travelled the world and tried the top quality food. And I can confidently say that this is a gem of a find especially for the price. 10/10 :)
- haven’t been to the restaurant in person but this is based on frequent delivery orders xx

The place looks very run down , I was almost going to leave when I saw that but my friend insisted we should stay since she had eaten there. To my surprise all the different sushis we ordered where very good and tasted very fresh, I must say I enjoyed it very much , the service was good maybe since we were the only once there. I think there bussiness is only on take out orders, I will certainly go back there again

Small restaurant, really good lunch specials for $10-11 including several rolls, Miso soup and edamame. The fish was fresh and the combo luch a great deal. Service was slow however and the place was empty!

The sushi, soup & salads are always fresh and tasty. I have never had a negative experience. Mostly we do Carry Out but have eaten inside with the same great esperience.

I ordered the lunch chicken teriyaki bento box. The soup, salad and gyoza were good. It all ended when I got to the actual chicken portion of the dish. It was hard as a rock, absolutely disgusting and I couldn't even eat it. I can't even to begin to think about why- chicken isn't supposed to be hard. There are plenty of other Japanese places in the area- I would suggest checking them out instead.

This is my go to neighborhood sushi lunch spot for a $ 11.95 tasting lunch with miso soup, salad, dumplings, rice, California roll, and entree (Tempura or Salmon or Chicken or Negamaki). Pleasant staff too.

Atami Japanese Restaurant appears to be a pleasant place, but I needed to finish a report and decided to try a take out order from Amazon using an Amazon Prime account.
That went quite well -- the charges included the tip, and the order took only 47 minutes -- we are about seven blocks from the restaurant.
The food -- not so good. The hot and sour soup was very bland and I had to add quite a bit of mustard to give it some bite.
The mushrooms in the mushroom soup were excellent, but the broth had virtually no flavor and much too much salt.
The standard sushi package was really subpar -- the tuna was mushy, the rice flaccid, the other fish a bit past their prime.
Never again.

This is my go to place for quick take out sushi since i live in the neighborhood; generally i get the sushi or sashimi special. It's been consistently good food and good value. It's nice to have a trustworthy option like that.

I've been eating at and ordering from Atami for years. The have really solid sushi and are pretty quick for delivery. My personal favorite preparations that they do are the Tri-Color Sushi and also individual pieces of baby yellowtail sushi which they do with jalapeno on top.
The restaurant is small but cozy and the service is spot on.
If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a quality Japanese meal I would encourage you to try Atami.

We walked in for lunch and had the bento box lunch specials. The food was good for the price and left us happy we had visited.

Every so often I have the extraordinary pleasure of finding a new restaurant that is surprisingly delicious AND inexpensive - in a Japanese restaurant it is almost unheard of. Over time I've learned a number of 'rules' about Japanese food - never order sushi if 'fusion' is in the name, never eat the more exotic fish in an inexpensive restaurant, and that at base 'cheap sushi' is best avoided.
Atami Japanese Fusion broke all of these 'rules' - with an $11 sushi lunch special that just can't be beat.

My go to lunch spot in NY for my Sushi fix. Very reasonable prices for the city. Food is fresh and well prepared. The standout here is value. Good sushi and a very reasonable price. Not 5 star, but 4 star food for a 3 star price.

This was my third visit to this neighborhood Japanese. The food is consistently fresh and reasonably priced. The lunch special is one of the best lunchtime deals in the vicinity of Bloomingdale's. The maki rolls are bright and tasty.
Not only does one get a miso soup or salad, but also a selection of 3 shumai ot gyoza or a cup of delicious hot edamame. Green tea is complimentary and the check arrives with an elegant fresh orange dessert.
The service is welcoming and gracious. All in all, a great dining experience. Highly recommnded
