This busy restaurant is near off Broadway Shows and not far from major Broadway Shows. Walking distance to both. Reservations are a must. Service is above average and the menu is moderately priced, for New York. They have a full bar and a nice wine...selection. Food is good and the desserts are great. A wonderful place for a lunch with friends. About two blocks from the Port of Authority.More
Hit up West Bank Cafe prior to seeing a show at Laurie Beechman Theater. (right downstairs in back..your meal DOES NOT count towards the theater minimum)
Pleasantly surprised that it wasn't busy at 9p on a Saturday night. Walked right in and was seated immediately....Spent $100 with tip for two of us: appetizer, entree and 1 round drinks, no dessert... cozy vibe, food incredibly tasty, portioned out perfectly and presented nicely... great variety of menu items and will return...directly across the street from POD Hotel Times Square (where we stayed)More
We called in for a late lunch and were delighted with the whole experience. We started with Cocktails ( the Blood Orange amazing !) and then had the Price Fix menu which was more than generous. Johne looked after us - very professional and it...was lovely to meet the owner who has carefully chosen a range of excellent wines available by the glass. Everything we had was delicious, especially the Salmon Tartare, the Vegetable Risotto and the Leek & Potato soup of the day. Many thanks! Highly recommendedMore
The West Bank Cafe is on Theatre Row and it is one of the top restaurants in the Theatre District. Their rotating menu is always great no matter what the season. They are open for lunch, dinner and after theatre. West Bank Cafe has a...very good wine list and the friendly staff (mostly actors between gigs) are sure to please. They also do a very nice Sunday Brunch. This is our "go to" restaurant in the Theatre District.More
We were greeted with a friendly greeting even though the place was filling up with people wanting to be seated. The waiter was VERY happy and very competent. He knew his menu items and the specials. He did a great job. (Michael V). We had...a couple of cosmopolitans, a chardonnay, bread (should have been warm), two omelettes, a risotto and an eggplant parmigiana. Coffees, cappuccinos, berries and two large cookies.
This was a wonderful meal!
Enjoy your visit.More
