Food was ok. Not sure what we did wrong. Ended up with loads of bread and were stuffed. Wanted to try their bone marrow but was slightly disappointed. Service was great, restaurant is cozy.

Totally love the decoration of the restaurant. It doesn't take reservation for brunch but if you go earlier ( 10:30-11:00 am), you should not have to wait. Great food and service. Highly recommend to have brunch with family or friends. Relax Sat morning.

I always come back here for the fried chicken. It just can't be beat. The bread is, of course, wonderful too. This time, we also tried the lamb rack which was excellent. Overall always enjoyable!

Just love this place. Lunch is great as they have lunch specials that don't put a dent on the wallet - great sandwiches... and their staples which are our favourites, especially the fried chicken. The fried chicken comes with mash, honey (gives it that zing!),...More

We had a party of ten and looked around the city and this popped up on opentable. The GM was kind enough waive a room fee on shirt notice. We were given the downstairs private brick room next to where they bake their breads. Food...More

Description
Blue Ribbon Bakery Kitchen is a West Village neighborhood favorite and destination restaurant. Restaurateurs Bruce and Eric Bromberg discovered in 1995 a 140 year-old wood burning brick oven and lovingly restored it and built Blue Ribbon Bakery Kitchen around it. We now proudly operate the only existing wood fired brick bread oven in New York City using methods learned from our time at Poilane Bakery in France, including challah, matzoh, and classic french baguettes. Our menu is eclectic and varied. Menu highlights include our award-winning Fried Chicken, Grilled Lamb Chops, Beef Marrow, locally caught fish and whole roasted pasture-to-table animals prepared in our brick oven, as well as a broad offering of lighter fare. At the heart of each Blue Ribbon Bakery experience is the wood-burning oven that sends the smell of freshly baked bread throughout the dining room. Don’t leave without walking downstairs to see the bakers in action.
