We had a Sunday dinner here while in Washington Heights as it was just a few minutes walk from our hotel. The restaurant was easy to find on Broadway with some outdoor seating set up on the sidewalk and a large green awning. We were seated promptly as the restaurant wasn't full (we had reservations through OpenTable too). The waitress... More

Coogans is nothing spectacular - a large "Irish - Italian" restaurant near NY Presbyterian hospital - but the food is good, service is pleasant and that's a lot more than can be said about most restaurants in the neighborhood.

this place was 4 mins from my hotel, and altho the food wasn't 5 star, it was good and filling. The best thing about it was the servers. I had dinner there three nights in a row, and 3 different servers were great. Tuesday March 14th 2017 was the absolute best. No name, tho. sorry. I will be back!!

We all had a different entree and were very surprised at the large amount of food we received and it was all very tasty too. The prices were average and the service... More

I've been here before with a group of people during the day for lunch and they have good food. I came here just for a quick spot to drink and chill later at night and it was a good vibe. I just wish they would have a larger beer selection.

Great food and atmosphere. The decor honors fire fighters, police and military as well has the history of the neighborhood. They offer large selection of menu items to include brunch on Saturday,Sunday and all day Monday. They have a 3 course Metro lunch for 14.99 which is salad ,entree and dessert delivered at same time for those on a work... More

Coogans, restaurant and bar ,caters to many of the blue collar workers , cops , fireman, sanitation, city workers and good ol hard working folks. There is no undesirable people frequenting this place for obvious reasons. Definately a great place to mingle and hang out .

Was in the neighborhood staying at the edge hotel on July 4th. Great energy, decent food, and diverse clientele. Would definitely come back!
