We stopped at lunch for a quick bite. The service was fast, but the pizza was just average. Our pieces could have been warmer, but they had an ok flavor. Probably wouldn't come back.

Typical NY pizza place. Good location and good Pizza but there is nothing famous about it. Recommended if you walk by and are hungry but I would not come here just because of the name.

After long day of travel, we stumbled upon these guys. Kind of odd setup in a very thin and long buidling, but the pepperoni and sausage pizza hit the spot. Cheese pan pizza, not so much. Good size portions but also not cheap for a few slices. Sat at bar stools and stared at a wall while we woofed down... More

First time in NYC and we we're so excited to try a real NY slice! We went to a few places but went back to Ray's the most! We even got a whole pizza one night! Made to order it was hot, fresh and exactly what we wanted.

First and most important - outstanding pizza slice. Service highly variable. To kind of rude and unprofessional to incredible. Prices - absolutely ridiculous. Robbery for a simple slice.

We wanted a New York pizza and ended up at Famous Original Ray's. The area where they take orders is crowded and disorganized. They had a wide variety of items besides pizza so getting through their menu took some time...but we decided we were there for pizza so why even look at anything else? We went for slices. There was... More

The slices are huge and delicious! We considered eating Thanksgiving dinner here during our recent visit to the city. The line was a bit long, but I think that is probably typical for Ray's. It seems like a really popular place (with good reason!).

Quick service. Fresh ingredients. Lots of options for pizza. We had the meat lovers, buffalo chicken, and bacon ranch... they were all great!

What can you can about a NY slice? Well it better be big enough to fold, sweet sauce, tons of cheese, and a line for it...Rays passes these tests and more, cheap and friendly

It's just a pizza place, not fine dining. Lots of people in line and you move through like cattle, but you get your pizza. If it were bad it wouldn't survive. It's perfectly fine. Oh btw I enjoyed my pizza.

Thank Dale H

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
