My oh my - where do I begin. I guess I'll start with the good: the delivery was fast, the packaging was excellent, and the meat was served in decent portions and taste. The ribs were tasty and large - and the brisket was moist and there was plenty of it. The side dishes, however,I couldn't stomach. The sweet potatoes... More

You least expect this little restaurant to be that good. It's a secret find where you least expect it. It's a self serve all traditional BBQ place, with some amazing flavors. You pick your food, pay and by the end of the counter it's ready to pick up. Then you go and find a seat in the large 6-seater tables.... More

I was here a few years ago and remember it being pretty good. So I was looking forward to returning. Service was fine. I still like the decor. The food was a letdown. The dry run ribs had no moisture. The sweet ribs and everything else was way too sweet. We had beans, creamed spinach and bourbon peaches. Everything was... More

I was quite surprised to find a BBQ on the west side of Manhattan just a block away from the USS Intrepid. The food was good and the portions were of decent size, and the three of us ate for under $50 (in mid-town Manhattan, even a McDonalds would have cost this much).

In the past I've had very good food here. This time, the place was empty and I've noted the prices have been raised. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, to be eaten there. I was sitting down and eating it within a few minutes. It wasn't even warm and certainly wouldn't pass the minimal temperature standards. When going through the... More

6 (quantity) Kansas City sweet and sticky pork ribs without any sides cost $15.90 and a bottle of water costs $1.50 (total with tax was $18.94), the ribs were good but expensive counter service (no waiter) there are less expensive options like a chicken sandwich

Went and had the ribs, they were pretty good, but the tables and layout leave much to be desired. Coleslaw and brisket were fair. I don't see me telling my friends to much about this one. Sorry.

I decided to eat dinner here because it was a short walk from my Times Square hotel but far enough to get away from the crowds in Times Square. The place itself looks outdated but I went in anyway because of the on-line reviews about the food. You place your food order at the counter and then find a place... More

What the heck was that? The Mac n cheese should come with a straw! SOUPY!!!Brisket was dryer than sandpaper & smelled funny. Chicken was old, like reheated from Monday old, and this was Friday. Bottled Root Beer was Excellent. What a disappointment. Oh forgot to mention the chicken was COLD.You got a lot of explaining to do Daisy. Never again.

...but if you had some of the best barbecue in the country you can appreciate Daisy Mae all the more. Located on 11th Avenue and 46th Street away from the restaurant and theatre districts, it is a block from the West Side Highway (Route 9A if you are a driving tourist to NYC) this is as plain an operation as... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
