Ate here on the recommendation of friends who had previously visited New York. From outside it doesn't really stand out and you could be excused for walking straight past. However, we think this restaurant is definitely one of the hidden gems on New York City. We arrived at around 8:30pm. We were unsure how busy it would be so booked... More

I ate with a group of friends (6 of us) last night at Trattoria Belvedere in NYC. Based on the Trip Advisor reviews, we were hopeful. The best I can say is that the food was inconsistent. Much if it was average - but depending on the individual dish, it ranged from very good to poor. The appetizers were generally... More

Want to feel like you're on vacation in Europe? Try this spot. Met friends for din and really enjoyed it. Lovely, intimate atmosphere and very attentive service. Do wish they had a liquor license (wine and beer only) and Caesar salad on the menu our night, but otherwise it was a hit.

Small restaurant, 15 tables or so set in a light subdued romantic quiet atmosphere. Waiter was very attentive yet not smothering. The Caesar Salad was light, crisp and very flavorful. I had the Osso Bucco over a Risotto Funghi. The portion was nice size and cooked perfectly, fall off the bone yet still had texture, not mushy. Single veal shank... More

I have relied on Trip Advisor reviews in the past and after this experience, I am not sure they are authentic. The food here was terrible! Everything I wanted to avoid. Three meals, all bad. My special pasta with crab was tasteless, the crab was non-existent. The veal chop was small and flavorless for $40 and the veal Marsala was... More

A favorite restaurant of ours the food has remained excellent and delicious. Always a warm welcome from the staff and nice ambience inside. Good selection on the menu and nightly specials. Gotta try the carpaccio, buratta, risotto and spaghetti with clams, in fact I'm sure whatever your choice it will be delicious! Wine was also great but pass on the... More

Appreciate this spot, right next door to our hotel and they were welcoming and super nice. The food was yummy, with quick service. If you want to have a conversation, let's say a romantic dinner for two, either go early early or go later after 7 pm. It is a lively restaurant, with a level of noise that is hard... More

This well appointed Italian restaurant is next door to the hotel where I prefer to stay in Manhattan. The waiting staff knows and takes pride in their craft, the food is excellent and portions generous. In addition to the broad menu, there is always a wide range of specials. Just when you think you can't eat more, the tiramisu is... More

My wife, daughter and I were looking for an early dinner before a show. We came upon Trattoria Belvedere and went inside. We arrived at 3:30 between the lunch and dinner crowds. They politely invited us to a table and brought out the very tasty bread and olive oil. The waiter came and rattled off a list of specials from... More

The charming authentic Tuscan Trattoria has an atmosphere perfect for fine dining. The setting is maderate, casual, and fun with several areas suitable for views. Trattoria Belvedere returns authenticity to Northern Italian Cuisine. Our Tiramisu (best in the city) our home made ravioli stuffed with lobster and a traditional tagliata (Tuscan Steak) our daily special. In addition to the great food, our staff our staff will always surprise you with a special wine selection not on our list. The restaurant is beautifally adorned with fresh cut flowers and illuminated by candle light.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
