Honestly, this has got to be my favorite place for dinner. Fabulous fresh Italian fare that rivals much more expensive eateries. Lively crowd, good wine list, excellent service, and big cocktails! ... What else do you want from a restaurant? Their sister restaurant Lil' Frankie's is just as great and their literally a block and a half from one another.... More

Originally, I came here to check out their private dining room to book a possible event. Nice intimate space, but it's rather big and they won't use the dining room without a minimum 15 people with a prix-fixe menu. Then, I placed my name on the waiting list for a dinner table. Sadly, they gave a spot on the counter... More

Sitting outside at Supper with friends was one of my fondest memories of New York. A bottle of great wine, homemade pasta, meatballs and great bread - what could go wrong? I would come here again. Make sure to have cash!

The food at Supper was awesome! Bigger place than i thought! We were walked to the back of the restaurant as it was a very hot day. It was a little empty so lacked in atmosphere but perked up as the day went on. There are tables outside so if you're after that on a nice day, its a perfect... More

The food was very good (4 stars) but the service was absolutely terrible bringing my rating down. The waiter required 15 minutes to acknowledge our presence with a short welcome and a what do you want? We were a large table and the waiter was guaranteed 20% tip no matter how bad the service was that night. Usually restaraunts will... More

The included starter is oil infused with spices and whole white beans to spread on your crusty bread. Lemon pasta is a must, but share so you can order another dish. My Kale Panzanella was made with grilled whole wheat crusty bread and was delicious. There is a daily special and it was Osso Buco on Sunday which my companion... More

It was recommended to me by a friend who lives nearby. It was quaint and rustic. The best part was that it felt like I was walking into someone's Italian home! Seriously! They treated us like family. In fact, I was with my daughter (8) and she just wanted spaghetti - and I have to admit that it was the... More

Supper is a pleasant and casual restaurant serving Italian cuisine. Service is efficient and friendly. In warm weather it's very nice to sit out on their front patio. I tried the spaghetti al limone and it was tasty. It's just spaghetti with lemon sauce and grated cheese. My only complaint was that the pasta wasn't al dente, but overall it... More

The food is wonderful and generous in portions. You don't need an appetizer after they bring out the bread and homemade toppings. The handmade pasta, sauces, and wine list are all great. It can get noisy if you sit near the chef's work area, but what a treat to watch the ballet they perform preparing each meal. There is a... More

Lovely restaurant in the East Village. Food was delicious and service was great. We booked and I would definitely recommend this as we got there at 7 and people were already queuing for tables. They do a great garlic bean appetiser on the house which was a lovely touch and utterly delicious! It has a really relaxed vibe and you're... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
