Service was excellent and the steaks were scrumptious. The chef is to be complemented, because every entree, apetizer was well prepared and tasted delightful.

Very good wine, the prawns and chilli calamari starter were delicious, steak was very good but not the best i've had. We had cheesecake for dessert which was also quite good. Service was quite good as well.

Finishing walking the High Line with my wife, we decided to get a bite. Then, I saw a sign with a hamburger we decided go in...it was this Old Homestead Steakhouse...very nice and confortable place. The service very friendly, patients, and fairly fast. My wife had a hamburger, I got the steak....WOW. What a delicious taste from both dishes. Again... More

One of the best (if not the best) steak i have ever eaten in my entire life. Great atmosphere, excellent and fast service, superb taste. I feel lucky being suggested to visit this restaurant.

This is the steakhouse that I use to measure ALL of the others I've been to! i haven't had a finer steak anywhere I've tried, and the service might be better than the steak was! Just the very best!

We went there for tonight and it was wonderful. We ordered the crab cake and the iceberg wedge salad. They were great except the size of the crab cake was a bit disappointed. Then we had two steaks and they were amazing even though one of them was slightly more cooked than ordered. The service was very good and friendly.... More

Returned to the restaurant for the wonderful Kobe beef hamburger. It was just as we remembered it - delicious! So soft, you barely chew it. It's expensive, but big enough to share and better than any hamburger you've ever had. So juicy - no ketchup needed. We also split the caesar salad. Very attentive service and a steak house atmosphere.

I admit I was a bit concerned after reading some of the recent reviews as I had not been here in quite a while and was using a redeemed gift as part of my payment for the meal! Went on a Wed eve @ 6:30. I have to say, the service was good, we had a little round booth table... More

It's from 1868 and they know how to make steaks. I ate a 18 oz. Sirloin steak which was exactly medium made. Good service

The very best steakhouse is always going to be debatable, but this should be somewhere near the top of your bucket list. A solid, all-around example of a good steakhouse. The porterhouse for two was done perfectly. The sides (we usually get mashed potatoes and creamed spinach) were done just right. The service was very good and the atmosphere was... More
