Expensive place to get a few burgers. Ambience was very dark . I was hungry and figured its been around a while(per the sign outside) and would be worth the cost but was wrong. I Ordered cheeseburger med well with no tomato. Got med rare with a tomato melted in. Took it home w/me. Cashier then wanted to know if... More

The Old Homestead has been around for s long time and has earned its stars. I went to the one in the Borgata Hotel in AC. Excellent food, good wait staff and a little pricey so keep it for a special occasion or celebration.

You should not dismiss this restaurant just because you do not consume red meat. They have seafood, poultry and veggie options as well. I have to say that the senior waitstaff could use a bit of happy serum to breathe some fresh air to their sadly drawn out faces. The younger staff are more energetic and easier to interact with.... 5 of us. Made reservations with Open table for 5. We were seated right away. Took a while for waters, needed to ask about specials, there were none. Honestly, food was ok. I have eaten steak all over the city, state and country, and it was just ok. Our server, was arrogant, but ok. Typical, steakhouse server. (All males). I... More

Had previously eaten at the one in Las Vegas so we had to try the original in New York and it didn't disappoint! Wonderful food and service. Our friends received an emergency phone call right before their meal came out and waiter was kind enough to take it back to the kitchen to keep it warm for them until they... More

Walked in on a week night and was given a table straight away. Very warm old charm atmosphere and decor. Our NY sirloin steaks were cooked perfectly - delicious! And the sides, garlic mash and beans, were very nice. Loved this restaurant- the best steak house I've been to in decades Yum Yum Yum. The service was a excellent -... More

Don't bother with the big well known Steak Houses that appear in the NYC tourist books, take a walk down to the Meat packing district and visit Old Homestead. The best steak I have ever had.

We try and visit the Old Homestead Steakhouse for dinner during our visits. The steaks and seafood are consistently good. Reservations are recommended but even with reservations expect a wait. Service was great as usual.

When I go to a restaurant I want to have it very classy! This place is only awesome! I have been seated by a french director, the place reflects its history. I started with a Maryland Crab-salad... the most perfect I have ever had. The filet mignon medium-rare was exactly that... and a Creme brullet was setting the full stop... More
