We loved this place and got stuffed! We especially loved their buns and particularly the red beans ones decorated like little pigs. Everything tasted great and we would definitely go back again!

Been here many times including banquets; last two on Groupon deals, which were good. This time it was terrible. Spring rolls and dumplings were OK, but beef satay had strange taste. Hot & sour soup was bland and sweet—how do you make bland and sweet “hot and sour” soup? The beef with orange peel looked like dark meat chicken…hard to... More

Decent dim sum. Take dim sum from the carts or order from the menu. Prices are reasonable for New York. Busy at weekends.

What a horrible restaurant. I recently attended a wedding just last week and I felt so bad for the bride and groom. First, the restaurant representatives continuously ripped-off and took advantage of the newlyweds and family. They made them feel that they were given a very good deal, then asked them for extra money for this and that the day... More

This is your average Dim Sum place in Chinatown. Ladies pass by pushing cars and you pick what you want to eat. Be ready to wait 45 minutes to an hour on the weekends. We have been coming here for the past 7 years and quality has never declined. Solid spot if you are a tourist in NY and want... More

Very popular ad the queue testifies. Pick up a number from the ladies in e lobby and wait to be called up to your floor. Great atmosphere inside with proper dim sum carts pushed by little old ladies. Some misses but overall great food at a reasonable price.

I went here yesterday, ordered my food, and it just arrived at my table. The shrimp Schezuan was ok, but the fried golden unicorn tasted as bad as it sounds. No wonder they don't exist.

Having lived in Hong Kong, my daughter and I are dim sum aficionados, and we had a perfect experience at the Golden Unicorn. We got there early enough to beat the biggest crowd, and the line was managed efficiently. The dining room was clean and pleasant, and we enjoyed the bustle that makes dim sum a favorite meal. But best... More

I just had my wedding at the Golden Unicorn this past weekend, and it was AMAZING!! Sail the manager was so, so helpful through the whole process and was open to any and all requests. We brought in outside vendors for cocktails/bar, a DJ, dessert, coffee, and glassware, and Sail and his team helped us handle and coordinate deliveries on... More

Give it 3.5 stars. This place has 2 floors. The wait especially for the weekend can be up to an hour long. Had a table for 7 folks. The place is very crowded and a couple of servers can be rude. If you have a party of 5 or more and order Chrysanthemum tea, there is a charge of $7.50.... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
