Having lived in Hong Kong, my daughter and I are dim sum aficionados, and we had a perfect experience at the Golden Unicorn. We got there early enough to beat the biggest crowd, and the line was managed efficiently. The dining room was clean and pleasant, and we enjoyed the bustle that makes dim sum a favorite meal. But best... More

I just had my wedding at the Golden Unicorn this past weekend, and it was AMAZING!! Sail the manager was so, so helpful through the whole process and was open to any and all requests. We brought in outside vendors for cocktails/bar, a DJ, dessert, coffee, and glassware, and Sail and his team helped us handle and coordinate deliveries on... More

Give it 3.5 stars. This place has 2 floors. The wait especially for the weekend can be up to an hour long. Had a table for 7 folks. The place is very crowded and a couple of servers can be rude. If you have a party of 5 or more and order Chrysanthemum tea, there is a charge of $7.50.... More

We love the dim sum factory ambiance, the chinese atmosphere and even the tacky decor (flashing plastic dragoons, yeah). But staff looks exhausted (are trolleys really so heavy to push?), don't even care explaining what they offer, they just stop and wait for a yes/no sign (mind you, if you dare ask a question, you won't understand the answer). That's... More

Lately, there has been lots of social media buzz about the Gold Unicorn. The pics of their Dim Sum make the dumplings and rolls look like pieces of art. Well... the pics are spot on. The dumplings, rolls and dishes were just amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu... More

Visited this restaurant at lunch time during the week for Dim Sum. If you are looking for a authentic Dim Sum experience - I recommend this. The vast majority of the diners were Chinese or at least Asian. The food was good.

We went to the Golden Unicorn on a recommendation from a friend. The entrance was kind of cool - you go into the lobby of a building and the hostess sends you up in the elevator. When the doors open to the busy dining room, it's a cool effect. We had never gone for dim sum, so we weren't sure... More

The food was not as good as what we are used to in dubai and to be honest we were expecting the China town to have more traditional feel like in London. Pork Sui menu quite tough and not tender like in China or Hong Kong. Peking duck was in weird fat pancakes not thin rice paper. They were assembled... More

We were in Chinatown and went to the Golden Unicorn based on a recommendation. The restaurant is interesting. When you go in the door, you are immediately sent over to the elevator to be whisked up into the dining area. You are then seated. The food was top notch, and service was great. I ordered and would recommend the egg... More

Like something from a movie you walk around this dingy part of China town and enter a building that looks like its part of the set "from big trouble in Little China." You are greeted by security and a hostess. You are then told to take the elevator to the 3rd floor . When the elevator opens its exactly like... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
