Like something from a movie you walk around this dingy part of China town and enter a building that looks like its part of the set "from big trouble in Little China." You are greeted by security and a hostess. You are then told to take the elevator to the 3rd floor . When the elevator opens its exactly like... More

So this place was great but you need to understand how to get in. Enter into the lobby and regardless of the crowd push your way to the front and collect a ticket from the staff member at the podium by the elevators and tell her the size off your party. At that point you wait till she calls out... More

We waited an hour for a table for seven people. It is definitely not worth the wait! It was our first time and had I known that the dim sum is only average I would have left. I have had much better dim sum in other places. Moreover my wife and I felt very thirsty the rest of the day... More

We were here with a large group of people, which may be why the food was relatively bland. Lots of broccoli and not much flavor. The peking duck and t-bone steak were the highlights. Interesting entry. Expected more from Chinatown institution.

The food is very good and prices are very low. My four star are solely based on that as waiters do not really speak english and the restaurant is quite old, however according to me is the best price/quality restaurant in Chinatown.

This was some of the freshest dim sum we have had and it was a huge place. Very authentic. They offered hand towels at the doors which was a nice touch and it was really affordable $40 for the 2 of us with green tea.

Cool little hideaway restaurant in Chinatown on the 3rd floor of what looks to be an old hotel. The shrimp dim sum was very good and I recommend it. The Lo mien noodles were very tasty as well but the pork in the pork fried rice was dry and the fried rice in general was basic. The egg drop soup... More

My brother-in-law directed our family dinner to be here, and it was a little shocking, being an out-of-town New Englander, to have to ride an elevator to get to this third floor restaurant which is basically just a very large room directly off the elevators. The decor was everything you would expect from a classic Chinese restaurant with gold and... More

Fantastic place that is deceivingly low-key from the outside. Once you enter, someone at the entrance will ask how many you have in your party and then send you up the elevator to a specific floor. The inside is absolutely beautiful. For those that haven't been to a dim-sum place before, the waiters will drive a little cart past your... More

Our experience begins at 6:00 on a Saturday. We had reservations at 5:30 (sort of). When you see the restaurant it really is not impressive. You walk into a large building and to the right are elevators. A woman asked where we were going and we said to the restaurant. She directed us to the third floor. When the elevators... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
