This is the second time I came to this restaurant and picked up my order. The server gave me a spoiled food so I applied for a refund from fantuan. The next day I received a call and messages from the server . He was...abusive on the phone and curse me, even though I sent him the picture to show him the food was spoiled, he’s still cursing me and sent me the dirty messages. I have to blocked him, but this dude just use another phone and kept insulting me and sl!t shaming me.It’s ridiculous that you serve the spoiled food to your guests and considered it's their fault.More
So looking forward to visiting a Chinese restaurant in China Town on our visit to New York. Choose Yeah Shanghai Deluxe without checking the reviews first... Big mistake. The waiter took our drinks order, the beer and the diet coke arrived with a straw and...no glasses. The food order was taken and very quickly a side plate arrived with a plate of ribs, I use the word ribs loosely... the ribs were tiny meatless bits of bone, barely warm with no taste. Next the half duck arrived again barely warm, the rib plate and bones left on the table, we had to ask for another plate. The other main dishes still missing. I complained the duck was cold. The lady took it away and put it in the microwave !! I heard the ping... In fact I'm sure all the food goes into a microwave... The bowl of rice was brought to the table ( I'd heard the microwave ping again ) they dispute they use a microwave when I asked. The rice had a strange taste not nice at all. My chicken dish arrived, presentation looked good but was tasteless and by this time we'd had enough and asked for the bill. $101 was the total for this disgusting excuse of a meal. Got a slight reduction after a disagreement with the front of house staff. Would NOT RECOMMEND. Service BAD. Food AWFUL. Expensive.More
We knew we were off to a bad start when a plastic spoon was presented as a utensil for a vinegar dressing. We also had to ask for chopsticks, which was disappointing. The food was nothing to write home about, and very basic in presentation....We had the pork dumplings which were watery and had no flavour. Overall, I can see why most Tripadvisor visitors have rated this restaurant 3 stars. I’d agree.More
Nice looking restaurant with good delicious food and a fair price. Great service, staff very pleasant, best noodles I ever had.
We had lunch there. All three menu items and the hot tea were delicious. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The service was good, as were the portion sizes.
I had one item in watery sauce with no taste. Was an entree and didn’t even come with a cup of rice. That was extra. I tipped in cash and the man waiter complained that the tip wasn’t large enough. It was only one trip...to my table to bring the food. Terrible experience. I will not go back.More
Traditional china Town eatery with excellent service and a real value for money. It was extremely cold outside when I entered and they offered me hot tea straight away, this was a nice touch. Food was very good and large portions.
Awful service, would never go back! Me and my partner and our friends were on holiday visiting New York and went for food one evening after being on our feet all day we were looking forward to a sit down and some good food. The...waiters were impatient and rude. I asked for chicken balls and got a sweet and sour chicken dish. When it came I politely asked for chicken balls but instead got told that was balls. They began clearing tables before we had all finished eating and got given the bill and very soon after was asked to pay and leave as they were closing. Their opening hours were advertised till 11pm on their opening times and it was 10.15pm when we were asked to pay and leave. Other people around us had just started their main course and were being given their bill during their main course. The tip was already included in the price of the bill which we had to reluctantly pay!! Really bad service, food wasn't great, overall awful experience.More
All of the dishes we tried at this restaurant were satisfactory. But we were surprised to see TIP included as a line item in the bill when this wasn't mentioned in the menu and there were only 3 persons in our group. Doing this in...Europe would have been fine; it would have been marked as "Service" and the percent would generally have been indicated. But here there was no reference to the percent and we were not informed beforehand, meaning that some people might add a full tip to the TIP line on the credit card receipt, not detecting the first tip already incorporated. And, initially, the maitre d' denied the tip had been set so high as 18%, until we did the calculation together on a calculator.More
We stopped by in this restaurant in the heart of Chinatown and we were not disappointed. Some dishes better than other. The curry chicken was nothing special, basically chicken with onions mushrooms and nothing more...i would have expected some vegetables more. The Dim sum were...really good though. In general for the price you pay is not a bad place at allMore
We asked some German tourists who were staying around town of a good place and they recommended this one and also ate there that night as well. We weren't dissapointed, the food was really good. We really enjoyed the meal, it was fresh and very...tasty. Service also was very good too. We are discerning chinese food eaters so we were pleasantly surprised. Would go back.More
We stopped because our daughter was tired, so I did not check... I should have... Avoid at all costs, even if one of your party is tired, better restaurants about.. Everywhere!
Thought we would try this spot on our travels. We got spring rolls, Dumplings & Beef low mein. Beef low mein was delicious, didn't care for the dumplings and spring rools were average. Id go back and try more options. Staff were great
Stumbled upon this restaurant around 10 PM since every other restaurant in Chinatown closed earlier. The Chinese food was really good but their service unfortunately wasn’t. 🤷♀️ Highly recommend their General Tso’s chicken.
