Very tasty food

We went here because it was attached to the hotel we stayed at during a recent blizzard and got unlimited sangria with our meals. Sangria was very good and the food was delicious

Enjoyed dinner here during a recent stay at the hotel. I had the salmon and it was fantastic. An excellent choice.

Their brunch is amazing! Food is delicious and comes with endless sangria. A wide variety of sangria is available. Also right across from the museum of natural history and central park so lots of places to explore afterwards. Warning: brunch reservations here book up quickly! We booked 3 months in advance.

A friend brought me to this place when I moved to Manhattan back in 2012 and I've been hooked ever since. I've taken pretty much all of my friends and family when they come to visit and at this point have been over 20 times. Brunch prices have gone up substantially since 2012 but you still can't beat paying approximately... More

The food was just ok, not great. The service was excellent and they do have a very nice wine selection.

Went for dinner with hubby and another couple. The ambiance was nice. Cute decor and clean. Attentive service. Music was on the lower side, good to have conversations. Presentation of food was very nice. Taste of food was just ok, (which is why I'm not giving 5 stars and really would give a 3.5 rating if I could) food was... More

A comment about the over salted cod was met with an atoning response of lots of free food. To be honest, I was feeling the restaurant’s pain: it was Restaurant Week, and the emptiness of the place had the staff in a dire state of mind—I do wonder if the move to the Excelsior hotel has hurt this once buzzing... Every year I have my birthday brunch here with 15 of my closest friends. They set aside 3 big tables and have us come at 12:00 noon. The adults get great Cuban food and drink sangria and the kids can draw and eat from the kids menu. The food has always been good and the service is really good. The... More

Calle Ocho, close to Central Park, is open for drink ands and dinner only. My mojito had no alcohol that I could discern. The menu is heavy on Latin themed fish (ceviche and red snapper, etc). The ambiance is festive and inviting. But I would not return for the food again....much better options in NYC.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in New York for years, and it never disappoints. It has an excellent bar, and has grown over the years so that you rarely have to wait for a table. The food is terrific; you are brought delicious rolls and spreads right away as an appetizer, and they offer a variety of... More
