Especially now we all need a place to escape to near home. La Bonne is our place. Reserve a table on the balcony overlooking the street if you can. There are only 3 tables there. The food is terrific. Always ask about the specials. They...have very reasonable half carafes of house red or white. A the classic bistro fair is on the menu. The Croque Monsieur is one of the best I've ever had anywhere. Our server Roberta was especially great. Always returning to our table to ask how we were. She was the best. You can't go wrong with the onion soup either. Another classic for these chilly fall days. This is a terrific place to go after MOMA too if you're looking for one. Thanks for a wonderful lunch. Don't forget those frites and their famous homemade salad dressing that you can buy and bring home. And there's never a rush. Just like a 3 hour lunch in Paris!More
