I went for the hangover brunch and blimey it didn't disappoint! It certainly lived up to its name. It was absolutely delicious, huge and I'm ashamed to say I ate every bit! The place itself and service is fab. Loved it

Rue 57 is on 57th Street, close to Carnegie Hall, in Manhattan - Hence the name! No surprise there, and it shouldn't come as a shock or surprise when I point out that Rue 57 is definitely one of the best "Parisienne et Sushi Bars" across the 'pond' from the Eiffel Tower. Famous for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner, Steak Frites,... More

Living in Tucson Az. and returning to NYC (we were formally residents of New Jersey) after many years., we were really NYC tourists. We stayed at the Hilton W 57th so this restaurant was literally a block away. The menu was extensive and the food and drinks were delicious. We stayed five nights in NYC and had dinner here once... Nice seating on the side walk, interesting brunch menu but average service. I ordered a herbs omelette medium, it came well cooked and the service was slow.

The food was prepare in expert fashion! The menu was diverse and inciting. The wait staff courteous and prompt. The desserts decadent. The atmosphere fairly quiet and cozy. I would definitely go back if I lived in NYC.

Both the food and service were top notch. The potatoe crusted salmon was prepared to perfection as well panko popcorn shrimp. The wine and drink list is complete and served well. The atmosphere is quite and relaxing. It definitely feels like you are in Paris.

We'd been to Dizzy's earlier, and the salad I'd ordered there hadn't done the trick. Rue 57 was close to our hotel, and we noticed they had outside seating...even though we told them we were only going to order light plates, they got us in and seated. Yummy! Great frites and Ceasar salad! Nice selection of wines by the glass.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
