Rue 57 is such a treasure in a superb location. We had breakfast there every day during our trip last December. Pancakes for breakfast? Unlimited coffee? Fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries? You name it - they have it. Service was always excellent and the atmosphere is reminiscent of Paris cafes.

We have eaten at Rue 57 many times and sometimes the meal is great and sometimes it is good. We usually order the same things which is interesting. Staff is very helpful and restaurant has a very nice feel to it.

Food was great, atmosphere was wonderful and our server was not only efficient, but very entertaining. It's a bit pricey by Texas standards - but I'd go back there for dinner any time.

We had noticed a slight slippage last time we visited, but I am happy to say that Rue 57 is back to its excellent form and function. Interested staff. Great service. Delicious food. Somewhat pricey, but it is, after all, midtown Manhattan.

A great option for late dinner, very nice place, with great food, located near the central park. Try the onion soup it's great for a cold day.

It's big and fairly noisy but the food is good and mains are large and filling. Service good. Excellent location for MOMA.

I ate here because it was close to the hotel and I was hungry. The service was very good and the food excellent with large portions. I found it a bit expensive but I have to say that I probably chose the wrong place for a quick and inexpensive breakfast.

We were there New Year's Day. It was very crowded. I don't know the reason. The food at best was mediocre. We were 4 people crushed into a very small space.

We spent a leisurely evening here recently. Loved the food (we stayed with the French offerings) and were very pleased with the service and ambience. It would be fun to return for weekend brunch.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
