Lovely decor, classically French with wooden panels and a nice bar at the back. We had breakfast here which was very nice; I had the eggs with spinach, mushroom and bearnaise sauce which was good but very rich. I would recommend this restaurant for a pleasant breakfast.

We had lunch at Rue 57 and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and professional. Our table had two chairs facing a booth seat.It was almost impossible to squeeze past the adjoining tables to sit down and once in place we were a little too close to our neighbors! It was on a Sunday,... More

Really nice restaurant. lovely food. our 2 boys ( aged 12 and 16) had fillet steak beef burgers which were to die for. If you visit this restaurant you have to try the French onion soup - delicious. Lovely setting and very professional staff.

Rue 57 is located in the heart of the Midtown area, walking distance from Central Park, Columbus Circle, Trump Tower and many other 'attractions'. It's on a major intersection, near a subway station, so there is plenty of foot and vehicle traffic for people/activity watching. It's French Bistro style food including our favorite Moules and Frittes (mussels and fries). Excellent... More

I got a plate of sashimi and a cup of tea. They probably have French food as well. Service was quick and polite, the food was good. The check arrived at $46, service not included. Tables outside were perfect for the weather.

Rue 57 is 1 block east from Carnegie Hall, so very convenient to dine before the show. Food was excellent, and the portion was just right size for me. I loved Art Deco style interior. Unfortunately, it was little too loud and hard to talk, and too dark to read a menu.

Came here for dinner before a Carnegie Hall concert as it was only a block away. Service was friendly and efficient. - The butter that came with the bread was delicious. - The Chicken Milanese was moist and not greasy. - The Miso Glazed Sea Bass was amazing but pricey at $39, considering the small portion. - Mashed potatoes were... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
