I was taken here by a local (actually we went three time while I was in town!). It has a lovely local feel about it, the food choices were outstanding, the bar staff extremely knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back!

See picture of the Candele - maybe the best pasta ever. We just popped in without a reservation and sat at the bar and had a great experience. Wine list is very good and all of the food items were great. This is a non-tipping...More

Union Square Cafe offers quite an eclectic menu. For brunch there are appetizers like hamachi crudo and cured Gravlax, pastas, egg dishes, burgers and main dishes. We ordered the creamy polenta with pesto and mushroom, pappardelle with red wine braised duck ragu and parmigiano, and...More

We have eaten at Union Square, Café for 30 years. I have never had a bad meal here. Food remains good. The softshell crab was exquisite. The pork pasta was also very good. The lamb dish could not have been better. However, I have never...More

This was a last minute choice for a date night, and we are glad we got a reservation (though it wasn't a Friday/weekend). They gave a very good wine selection, the wait staff are happy to recommend/give suggestions. We got "The Union" - a Pinot...More

We visited this restaurant in our neighborhood and were met by very inexperienced staff. When we asked about their scary C sanitary rating it was dismissed as “nothing”. The food was average, the service poor and the prices were exorbitant. I would not recommend this...More

Hi Norman, We can appreciate and respect your apprehension when looking at a ‘C’ grade. We are not proud that pesky fruit flies landed us that letter with the Department of Health. Be assured we’ve fixed the problem and look forward to re-earning our ‘A.’

As a longtime fans of USC , we were disappointed that food quality has slipped from absolutely Great to just solidly Good since the move to the new location. The fare seems competent but commonplace - dishes you see everywhere . I still love the banana...More

I expected a lot more! Prices are very high for the food and service. We ordered 2 supposedly express meals, plus 2 sandwiches and it took forever!! My burger was decent, not fantastic. I won't be returning anytime soon.

This is my first visit to USC, but won't be my last. The brunch, lunch menu met all requests for those who wanted savory or sweet. The vichyssoise starter was perfect, followed by a wonderful trout entree was perfect for me. Others tried the brunch...More

We have been to the old union square many times, it was incomparable. Message to mr. Meyer, go back to tipping. The staff just doesn’t care. The food was good but nothing special. The room felt barren and uninspired. I would close and start over.

I am not the owner, but the restaurant is highly customer centric and will likely accommodate such needs. Why not call them and ask?
