Amazingly bad. Ordered lobster rolls and at waitress' recommendation - tomato tatin as appetizers. Lobster roll was 3 mini rolls with the ratio of lobster to bread about the same as bread and butter. And my date's had some shell in it. The tomato tatin tasted like canned stewed tomatoes. We sent it back and should have sent the lobster... More

We had dinner here on reopening night... It was lively, busy and fun.. We ordered the medium size cold seafood tower for four of us and ate every morsel... it was the perfect appetizer for four to share... I really liked that one could order smaller portions of some items... the pasta with fresh Blue Crab was delicious and just... More

The seafood tower is to die for. The sushi can't be beat. The service and atmosphere compliment the food. Always a good time here!!!

Gorgeous, classy New York restaurant, fair prices for excellent food perfect for a special occasion. We sat in the upstairs section with a really nice view over the restaurant which I can recommend. We didn't try the fruits de mer but a number of guests were having it and it looked incredible! Really good choice of seafood and meat dishes.

The Signature seafood tower is a must every time I eat here. Great and attentive service which is a must for a swanky seafood joint like this. Can't wait to go back!

Always love this spot-a late lunch is great after the business lunch rush. Oysters are extremely fresh & delicious. Great location with outdoor seating available which I would've loved but too hot that day. Spicy tuna roll is really yummy & Union Square roll is good w the sauce.

A friend and I went to Blue Water Grill Sunday Evening, July 3rd. The restaurant is beautiful. Our server Matthew was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. With his suggestion we ordered the multiple courses of oysters that were served in various ways and Matthew was very knowledgeable about how each course was prepared and offered suggestions in which order to... This restaurant is right on Union Square, in a converted 1890s bank building with marble floors and carvings. The long narrow space works well, with a bar in the middle and lots of windows along 16th Street. It is a white tablecloth place but not too formal and with pleasant and efficient service. We had excellent sushi to start, then... More

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and the food has always been very good...as well you should expect, considering that it's a bit on the pricey side. However, you tend to get what you pay for and the service and ambiance of the restaurant are also very good. Usually good to have a reservation as lunches,... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
