Best in class in every cathegory, from reception to check. Not extremely expensive and definitely value for money. We shared an entree as apetizer, the speciality of the evening and it was the best cod we have ever eaten. Go there!

Ate here with a group of 10 from out of town. Got a great booth/table in the corner. Large menu and portions are huge. Food was delicious. No one had a bad meal. It's expensive, but worth it. Service was excellent. Decor is beautiful and old school glamour with a lively scene.

Overall, the food was good, but we had a long wait, even with a reservation, and the service once we were seated wasn't that great.

This restaurant was recommended by our concierge and we are so happy we went. Relaxed atmosphere and knowledgeable staff took great care of us and helped customize some drinks and dishes to our preferences. Well worth exploring for a special night out!

I was worried the place could be noisy, but in fact the tables are nicely arranged that not only you have privacy, but there is also no disturbance from adjoining tables. The service was impeccable, very attentive to details, personable and knowledgeable. Abdul took great care of us. You can tell the staff is proud to work there. We had... More

This is quite an impressive place. High ceilings, corinthian columns, fine windows. A converted bank, one is led to believe. Fine service. Unfortunately, the menu was not particularly interesting. This is a seafood place. You would expect a wider selection of crustaceans and fish, at least comparable to the, say, Ocean Grill. All the same, well worth the visit (and... More

I'm on a strict, strict diet--so perfectly grilled fish and vegetables were the order of the day. The salmon was fantastic...perfectly cooked and the mixed vegetables accompanying it were so delicious (and simply grilled) that it was hard to resist asking for more. I'm a bit disappointed that BWG has shrunk their (formerly extensive) menu down to size, but appreciate... More

I had a work lunch here. We tried the watermelon salad with feta and heirloom tomatoes, the crispy cauliflower, the clam flatbread, the chopped veggie bowl, the salmon, red beets & scallops, and the banana tower..... Everything was so perfectly prepared and tasty. The service was thoughtful and kind. And the new renovations are lovely. (The waiter told us we... More

A wonderful restaurant right on Union Square. Excellent, fresh seafood and the vegetables are picked from the amazing Union Square Greenmarket. Many restaurants claim farm to table, but when dining at Blue Water Grill the freshness of the fare is obvious. Our server, Julian, was pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient in helping us navigate the menu, and the restaurant manager,... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
