Unique, delicious, fresh plates. Excellent service from a staff that is genuine and seem to like their jobs. One of my VERY favorites in NY. If you are challenged to get a table, sit at the bar.

I often dine out and am always on the hunt for other worldly experiences and Blue Hill delivers. Chef Dan Barber has cultivated the most exquisite dining room and menu, creating the farm to table movement but it's what we should be eating. Real food, how each ingredient is meant to taste like and the only drawback is that you'll... More

Somehow got lucky with a last minute reservation for our anniversary while in NYC. Couldn't have been more excited, especially from knowing about the chef and his farm as featured on an episode of Chef's Table (Netflix). Every morsel was divine, the space itself is stunning and relaxed and classy, including the background music (and the adorable bathroom). Will remember... More

We started with a beautiful champagne and chose the Farmer's Feast. The food was beautifully plated and each expression had a unique "spin" on traditional farmer's fare. I think every staff member was at our table during our lengthy stay. We had help pairing 2 bottles of wine -both were perfect. Excellent food, true professional service, and extensive wine list.

Went there for the first time last week. Very difficult to get reservations but the concierge at the hotel managed to get some. We had the special chefs menu (there's no ala carte just several menus). The food is very good and the service and the wine pairings were excellent. If you are looking for a great farm to table... Wow. Keep it up guys. Such a great date night with my wife, with REAL food. Made in house and with love, this goes a long way. I love what you're doing supporting locally and sustainably and making as much of your own supplies as possible. An inspiration and such a treat to be able to dine here.

When I visited Blue Hill, it was wintertime, and I was wanting a fresh but home-style meal that I could enjoy. I am passionate about only putting organic ingredients into my body and I heard that Blue Hill was as close to farm-fresh as I could get without actually going to a farm. Upon enjoying my meal, I was not... More

I like the informality and the lack of pretension - which is refreshing for food of this quality. And they make the best of a difficult basement space. Pleasant professional service keeps the meal flowing - which is important for a tasting menu type menu with lots and lots of courses. The food is good. The back story of the... More

Hands down, this is the best meal I've EVER had. Food is unique and intensely flavorful. Portions may seem small, but you will leave full. That notwithstanding, the service here is phenomenal. I can't say enough great things about this experience! It is 100% worth it!!

This was pretty much one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the minute we walked in, the service, the ambience, the lighting and the music--all of it was incredible. We opted for the pricier of the two tasting menus (farmers, I think it's called?) we were started off with an amuse bouche-- a sort of pate that... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
