Can't wait to come here again with a bigger group. Every dish was delicious! A lot of interesting ideas and good mood in every detail! Cosy, warm, beautiful! Very special place! Be ready to be completely stuffed in the end!

We dined early - got there about 5 PM (when they open) and were out by 715 PM to be able to catch a 800 PM show. Normally the meal takes about 3 hours. Nice space and quiet enough that you can talk. Service was spot on. Party of 4 - 3 got the 6-course "farmer's feast" and 1 got... More

I'd seen the episode of Chef's Table about Dan Barber and Blue Hill, and visiting this restaurant was on my must do list. I want disappointed! Everything about the experience was top notch, from service, to the attention to detail shown in the food. We chose the farmer's feast - the seasonal tasting menu. Every course was outstanding, particularly the... More

I got the longer and more expensive of their tasting menus. It started off with a number of amuse bouches, which you were expected to eat with your fingers although a couple of them really didn't lend themselves to being finger food. The courses eventually started to arrive. Everything was very good. My favorite course was the duck dish. Although... More

EVERYTHING was fantastic; not a bad dish. We started off with plain uncooked veggies that were unbelievably fresh and flavorful. My personal favorite was the Concord grape juice ice cream dessert--so good it could make you cry. Drink presentation could've been better but it's almost impossible to live up to the food. Service was excellent.

The ambience is fine and the service was good but the food was so pretentious. Our bill for 4 people including 2 bottles of their cheapest wine was $785. For this, you got a few sliced raw vegetables a tiny piece of lobster claw and an equally small portion of duck breast. I would avoid this restaurant it is all... More

Blue Hill is the perfect example why there is nothing better than fresh seasonal ingredients. We stumbled across Blue Hill by watching a Netflix series highlighting different Chefs across the globe, and we were intrigued by what we learned. Blue Hill is supplied by its own farm in upstate New York and features some of the best vegetables I have... More

I was excited to eat at this resto especially after seeing the chef featured on the Netfilx series Chef's. The courses were not inventive or interesting. The main course was luke warm... massive miss hit for a restaurant of this caliber. The host was divine and welcoming -- the manager was rude and dismissive. Consider myself a true aficionado and... Blue Hill is definitely worth every penny that we spent there! The service was impeccable and the food was to die for. Our favorite dishes were the potato gnocchi and the duck. We plan to make this a restaurant tradition each time we visit New York!

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
