We only ate breakfast here once and it was good. Would have done it more often if we had known that they would extend all the freebees at the continental breakfast upstairs and only charge you for additional dishes (e.g eggs and meat)
North Square has an excellent menu, with moderate prices. It is located right in the Washington Square Hotel, but accessible from the street as well. The lounge area is very nice with happy hour drinks and food from 5-7. Our bartender was Alexandra who was...More
I’ve been to this restaurant a few times. One of the things I like about it is that you can actually hear your dining companions and have a conversation.
I’ve had the steak with pepper sauce a few times and it’s always tender and delicious....More

North Square is a small restaurant part of the Washington Square Hotel. It is very good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We especially liked the lunch menu. The salads we had were outstanding and very well dressed. It is a handy spot in the Village...More
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.
Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
