My mom and I decided to eat lunch here after walking up Mulberry and we were not disappointed! The calamari was tender and delicious. Our entrees of fettuccine bolognese and baked manicotti were equally as good. Service was quick! The zeppoles at the end of the meal were a great surprise!

I myself, am an avid fan of this restaurant. Every time I am in the area, I will bring who ever I am with to this restaurant. In the summer, they have a beautiful out door area. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous, several different areas to eat with beautiful ambiance. Now to the food. The menu is wonderful,... More

We wanted to experience a real Italian restaurant in Little Italy. After looking at the menus of a couple of restaurants, I found one that had my favorite pizza, the Napolitana, on. We were not disappointed. I ordered my pizza and my daughter ordered spaghetti and meatballs. We were both pleasantly surprised with the food we received. The service as... More

There are better Italian restaurants in the city. Little Italy is not the place to be, unless you're taking out visitors or your favorite Chinatown restaurant cannot accomodate your group. We were here for dinner during the San Gennaro festival and they had seating out on the street. Needless to say, the waitstaff were just disinterested towards the final weekend... More

This was by far the worst dining experience that I have had in NYC ever!!! They brag about how they have been in business for over twenty years and yet their service is was so bad that I doubt that they will be here twenty years from now. The food was not anywhere close to being on par with what... More

Have just eaten here and have to say it was yummy. Warning.... portions are big! Our bruscetta was in a whole pizza base and it was quite good. While the tomatoes could have had a little more seasoning, the pizza base was good. My hubby also had a very good minestrone. Our mains were 2 different salmon dishes. Ok while... More

A cozy Italian atmosphere in the heart of Little Italy. The waiters all looked Italian American and spoke Italian when they spoke to each other. Polite and funny waiters, had time to talk and treated you well. The food was good, typical Italian. We had the four cheeses pizza, that was really good - we recommend it.

This is a great Italian place with great food and prices for New York. It also has a great outdoor courtyard inside the restuarant.

We travelled as a group of 6 looking for a nice Italian place in Little Italy for some great food. As we travelled along Mulberry Avenue there a lots of places looking for your business and we settled with Da Nico. It was raining but not cold, if it had been a little warmer we might have opted for the... More

Went here with my family and loved it. Staff is very attentive, and the food is great. I highly recommend the pasta with seafood, it's everything you could want from Little Italy.

Enjoy traditional Northern and Southern Italian cuisine at Da Nico. The beautiful indoor dining room is a favorite among movie stars, New York Yankees and former Mayor Giuliani. The casual, family-friendly atmosphere welcomes you to dine on "The Best Coal Brick Oven Pizza," or one of the delicious items on the menu. Specialties include lobster fra diavolo, baby lamb chops and veal chops. Call for the day's specials. During the summer, Da Nico features a large outdoor garden which doubles its normal seating capacity. Da Nico is also available for your private parties. There are many keys to having a great dining experience. With that in mind, consider Da Nico the master locksmith of Little Italy!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
