I went here over the holiday's and it is an incredible experience. Daniel Boulud really outdoes himself at this flagship in NYC with a incredible menu, top notch service, and a deep wine list. It's not cheap, but for a special occasion, you have to go at least once.

Good food good service. The only complaint that I had is th service is invasive. There is a very fine line between some one offering good service and wanting to be part of the dinner lol. Here it was just a little too much.

Expect to pay $200-$250 per person...One of the most expensive resturants in a city of overpriced restaurants. However this is one place where the price is justified. Obviously dropping $400 on dinner for 2 is not something in everyone's budget and few can afford it, however for that special occasion this is the top rung. The service...EXCELLENT...if it was any... The service here is impeccable, and the people genuinely friendly. It lives up to, and probably far exceeds its reputation. I've been here for the prix fixe dinner and also for just drinks at the front bar/lobby area. I loved it. The food is to die for, their wine list is extensive and they will help you choose the right... More

I've been to Eleven Madison & Le Bernardin which are the two most popular restaurants that people compare to Daniel and by far DANIEL surpasses both of them!!!!

This is as good as it gets in the big Apple. The fixed priced four course with wine pairing was absolutely amazing. The foie gras quail and venison dishes were so well executed Marie Antoinette would have been proud.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
