My friend and I ate here on a girl's/senior trip (with her daughter and her daughter's friend) late on our first night in NYC. It was the perfect place to start our trip. It's located 1/2 way down a side street off Times Square. We walked there and back from our Times Square hotel and felt completely safe. We were... More

John's has awesome pizza. We had the basil and fresh tomato small traditional. It was perfect for two hungry people. We also had a salad added to that the second time we went. We shared the salad. It was pretty big. It is very loud in there and not a ton of light. It wasn't a problem since we were... More

This has been one of our favorite pre-theater stops for many years. Great pizza in an interesting former church right in the heart of the Times Square theater district. The food may not be quite as fantastic as the original John's in the Village, but you can't beat the convenience of this location!

We were recommended this pizzeria from our tour bus guide and gave it a try to take back to our hotel. It was fantastic! We had a few cocktails at the bar which were great as well. The only thing which is a downside is the barman was not very friendly and it was not clear where you were to... More

Visited couple times now and enjoyed each time. Nicer decor then expected inside. Ok service. Pizza can be expensive when create your own as price per topping but good taste.

Had been here many years back and the food was great. Something has changed. The salad dressing was just vinegar and the pizza was served burnt. Not just the crust but the bottom of the pizza too. I'm surprised the cooks sent it out that way and the server served it. Not worth the visit anymore.

Went to John's on Saturday and the food was very good. We didn't have to wait long and the staff were very attentive.

Travelled from London and 1st time in NYC. Wanted the real deal New York pizza and decided on Johns Pizza Time Square after studying TA. It was great! Shared Garlic Rolls to start amazing! My wife and I wanted to sit and have pizza so we decided to eat at John's. Atmosphere was nice but the pizza was very bland and had no taste. If you are looking for good Pizza, do not eat here.

Thank Keith W

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
