Had 2 hours in Manhatten Sunday and we picked Johns a very busy vibrant pizza Restraunt. We were shown to our table and drinks ordered. The food when it arrived was piping hot and huge and very good I just about managed mine but I had to leave some edges. My beer was cold and good service was good and... More

Stopped in at 11:30 for a quick lunch before our 1:00 matinee this past Sunday….we have eaten here before and had a wonderful experience. I ordered penne pasta with marinara sauce with some fresh mozzarella, my husband ordered chicken park with a side of penne a la vodka and my son got the chicken milanese sandwich. The chicken was fine,... More

Absolutely the best pizza any where we've found! So good we went twice during a 6 day visit! The Caesar salad and cheesy garlic bread is too notch too. And the service is great. Well worth the subway ride and a bit of a walk to get there. An added bonus: John's is located in a former church so there... More

Our group of 13 went to John's following a scavenger hunt. We were tired, thirsty, and hungry. We departed refreshed and invigorated. John's offers many toppings to satisfy any pizza lover's taste. The service started off slow, but it improved nicely. The restaurant's location in a former church adds to the uniqueness of the ambiance, with the stained glass ceiling... More

This place is always great! The restaurant is a former church, cavernous, huge inside with stained glass. The menu is extensive. The streets are busy, so not so easy to find, and it’s in the heart of time square, so a lot of people and sometimes a little wait, but they are very efficient. There were plenty of leftovers –... Crispy, brick oven pizza with tasty cheese. That was exactly what we were hoping for. Our waiter, Francisco, was very friendly and attentive. We have definitely found our pizza place in New York.

Best place by far to have Pizza in that area. We always go there before a show. Very convenient, nice atmosphere and nice friendly staff. I highly recommend John's.

We negotiated the busy NY street to find John’s. It’s in the heart of time square so expect a lot of people and perhaps a little wait (we had dinner at around 8pm and waited 20 mins for a table). After a busy day hitting the sights in the city, pizza was just what we needed. The building itself is... More

This place is consistently excellent. The restaurant is a former church, so the ceiling is stained glass. The menu is extensive and the pizza is great!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
