3.5 stars. The place was too dark. The one candle on the table made it a bit hard to see the food. The place is small so reservation is essential. We went there for the bone marrows. We had it and the foie gras for appetizers. The bread they came with were soft and really complemented the flavors. The foie... More

We were seeing a show downtown and dropped in for late night food. What a wonderful place! The room is charming, the service was wonderful and the food was very, very good. I can't wait to return and have something else from their menu. This place is small and very popular. We had a wait a little bit too long... More

After theatre in the east village we trekked across town at 10.30pm on a miserable wet night to an old and reliable regular of ours - Blue Ribbon Brasserie. It was well worth it - our old favourites of half lobsters, a confit duck leg, fried chicken and a complimentary escargot dish made for a very special late dinner. The... More

I've been eating at Blue Ribbon for over ten years. The food is excellent. If you like fresh oysters this is the place to go. Other outstanding items, would be, the salt and pepper shrimp, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and cheese fondue. Service is always first -class. The restaurant is quite small so be prepared to wait for awhile. It's... More

The food was great, specially the grilled tuna. Wines are quite expensive and deserved more professional recommendations. A bit noisy restaurant.

This is my go to place for amazing comfort food and some of the most courteous service. The cocktails and wine selections are great. The food selections are reliable and ample in proportion. Have. It had a mediocre dish here yet. The tables are closely spaced so one has to do some table shifting to exit in this smaller sized... More

Staff allowed us to move our reservation so that we could watch a bit more of the world series. Much appreciated. We had a bottle of wine, the steak tartar, and the bone marrow dish. Wine good, steak tartar good, bone marrow slightly disgusting. This was my first time having bone marrow, and it's possible that it's just not my... More

This was our second visit to dine at this restaurant. We occasionally have drinks there before dining at other locations in the area. We were there on a Sunday night and the place was packed. Generally we see a lot of families but this crowd seemed a bit more of couples and groups. I had the duck confit appetizer and... More

Description
Located on Sullivan Street at the convergence of the West Village and SoHo, Blue Ribbon's bustling dining room and friendly bar have been serving neighborhood regulars and culinary industry insiders since 1992. The Bromberg Brothers' eclectic vision first sprang to life here and has blossomed into an iconic destination known for its late-night dining scene where the country's top chefs congregate and eat after closing their own kitchens. Subdued lighting, red velvet banquettes and mustard hued walls, pristine oysters and countless culinary tales are all well-known trademarks of this, the flagship and original Blue Ribbon.
