After a late concert at NJPAC in New Jersey I searched for somewhere to have dinner that didn't look like fast food and this was it. The ambiance, the service and the food were great! At almost 1 am we were able to have dinner, we were not rushed and the place was almost full which says a lot. It... More

We've been here now about five or six times. and it is by far our favorite restaurant in the city. We've had the catfish, skate, fried chicken...all delicious. We also love the escargot appetizer...served differently than anywhere we've ever been. We love the service and are so happy that they now take reservations as there have been a few times... More

A fairly typical NY Brasserie and I say that in a nice way. Small inside but you don't feel as though you are sitting on top of each other. Service was excellent all night even though the place was packed. Food was very good - we tried the trout salad and fried oysters to start and both dishes were delicious.... More

Amazing food!! Definitely a must try. We ordered the marrow and ox tail (sounds yuck) and it was absolutely delicious. I had the scallops that were on special and they were divine. I also recommend the fried chicken as well as he trout!

Went there for a birthday dinner with 6 persons. The atmosphere is not my cup of tea - rather dark inside and nothing special. Service really attentive and nice, answering any question we have had. In the end they forgot to invoice a bottle of wine which we made them aware of, without any gesture in return... mhh. Food on... More

As we entered, I spotted, in my peripheral, a bottle of Chartreuse VEP... I've been looking for VEP for many years; suffice it to say, from the VEP sighting, I knew the dining experience was going to be great. As we were being led to our table by the host/manager, I confirmed that the bottle I spotted earlier was, in... More

We went for dinner at midnight on a Saturday and the place was packed so make sure you make a reservation. It was still packed at 2 a.m. when we left! It's great that this restaurant is open so late. The space is small but there's enough room to breathe and the noise level is a little high. I would... More

This place opens until late and server really great food! The place is always packed and buzzing with conversation, but still the service is good, quick and the food is delicious! Good variety as well! I had a great fish with sweet and sour crust that was a delicious surprise!

Description
Located on Sullivan Street at the convergence of the West Village and SoHo, Blue Ribbon's bustling dining room and friendly bar have been serving neighborhood regulars and culinary industry insiders since 1992. The Bromberg Brothers' eclectic vision first sprang to life here and has blossomed into an iconic destination known for its late-night dining scene where the country's top chefs congregate and eat after closing their own kitchens. Subdued lighting, red velvet banquettes and mustard hued walls, pristine oysters and countless culinary tales are all well-known trademarks of this, the flagship and original Blue Ribbon.
