The food was good, except the risotto was wallpaper paste. When we told the waitress , it was like a deer in the headlights. DO NOT ORDER?

I am food critic and I was was going to check out the place on Sunday. I went my partner but were refused service simply because we are female gay couple. Here is what happened. They do not accept reservations so rules are first come...first serve. Although they've had several open tables we were told that we cannot sit at the table with 4 chairs although there were several other tables seated with straight couples . When I politely asked to see manager , young man came out and without even asking how he can help he just came strait at us and violently raised his hands yelling: "Get out of here. We refuse to give you service . You are not welcome. We don't want you in this restaurant " He threatened to call police for which I was very much for , but he gave up stating that " Police is not answering " It is so disappointing to see in New York that we still have hard core Homophobic people that run businesses. I will not be able to grade their food but I am definitely giving them zero stars for service , manners and their view on peoples choice of who to love. You have choice to support their business or not. I certainly will avoid places like that . There are so many amazing bars and restaurants in New York City that do not discriminate.More

BEWARE OF ADD ON DRINK CHARGE & SLOW SERVICE. Overall food was just ok, vegan pasta clumpy and mushy; brussel sprouts was oily with too much salt, the duck salad very good. No bread served. The service was often slow and inattentive. Once seated it...took 20 minutes for waitstaff to ask if I wanted a drink and once we both had drinks and finished them, another 15 minutes to get her attention for a refill. When the bill came we were charged additional because we were using a credit card (menu does state this) PLUS $2.00 more per drink because instead of ordering a specialty cocktail (we started with these, mostly filled with juice) we then ordered classic martinis. The wait staff explained "those contain 2 oz more of vodka" so we charge extra. And the martinis were quite small to begin with, hard to imagine 2 oz making much difference. Never heard of any restaurant or bar doing this. Not going back.More

Good food and drinks! Cocktails were really nice! We also had the fish tacos, tuna tartare, bacon/cheese balls and scallops. The scallops and fish tacos were best. I always love tuna tartare.. I'll be the first to say, I'm kinda a tuna tartare snob, and...I order it everrrryywhere I go haha… but there wasn't much tuna in it - only a thin layer (other places are more… muchly, and have better flavours)… but still tasted okay!! Our server was excellent - I believe his name was Zeik :) He kept our glasses filled, and our stomachs full. Enjoyed our time and overall, great spot with a friendly, warm vibe! I would love to return when indoor dining begins - the inside was really pretty.More

Full disclosure, this was a delivery order during COVID 19. It was through Grubhub. Arrived correctly and quickly. I ordered the sirloin brisket burger, the bacon cheddar croquettes, fried chicken sliders, and fries. The burger was very good. I ordered it medium and it actually...arrived medium. It was juicy and the sauce added flavor. Definitely worth the order. The fries were average, but seasoned well. The bacon cheddar croquettes were not my thing—a little soft and I didn’t care for that texture—but that’s about me, not the restaurant. The fried chicken sliders were sold as “hot chicken.” Being from the Nashville area, I don’t agree with this, but also not sure you can expect real hot chicken outside of the south. It was fried well and crispy and the inside was moist. The pickle and sauce added some cool contrast. I do think it could be more seasoned. Overall, I would try this place again, and it has to be taken into account the city is recovering from a pandemic and it was storming that night.More

We got together with friends to see their new aptmt, and wandered over to The Grange for dinner afterwards. We started with the house salad (1st on the list - had an excellent dressing), and crab cake (nice flavor, external breading, handsome plate). The burgers...were very well good, great meat, delicious rolls. I had the vegan, walnut “bolognese” - very nice flavor and texture, delicious sauce but the gluten free pasta fell apart, as it will (never been a fan of gluten free pasta, but I keep trying!). We absolutely enjoyed the meal and experience, and will be back. Mangia!More

We ate here after a show at the Aaron Davis Hall at City College. It was a short walk, and a large table toward the back was fortunately available for us on a late Friday evening. I had the fried gnocchi with pesto sauce- super...tasty! The wait staff was friendly and very attentive, making good suggestions when we had questions. My husband is not as adventurous of an eater as my daughter and I are, and he even found something to satisfy him- delicious French onion soup!More

Enjoyed a table on sidewalk. Stopped for late breakfast. We were not rushed in the least. Took our time. Husband and I both had the Market Fresh Omelette$15.00 with Heirloom Cherry Tomato, Goat Cheese, Hash Browns, Arugula & Frisee. We aren’t fans of goat cheese...so switched it out with cheddar. We honestly could’ve split it. It was Huge. And Overkill on the cheddar. Placed was slammed at 10:30 am. Our server was lovely but not the best at anticipating our needs. Had to remind her to refill coffee, etc.More
