I've never been here. But one day I will, I'm from Montreal so it's not that hard of a goal. I give you 5 stars because I read the response to that Megan review, and I respect it 100%. It's too bad most of the...world feel so entitled in giving their opinion without properly analyzing context.. but hey, I know when I visit I will give you another 5 stars for 2$ beers, spicy wings, and any good rock music. See you soon, and don't worry about the Megan's loll 👍🏻More

My friends and I read about this bar on Yelp and then decided to take a gander. It has a swing hanging from the bar. If you ask the bartenders sweetly, they may let you take a small ride. The bouncers were great. Usually bouncers...have an attitude..which makes no sense working in a "customer service" position. My friends and I were a little loud, but happy, and enjoying life and they just rolled with it and enjoyed too. Since this is tucked away and what I would call a little "hole-in-the-wall," I was positive it was going to reek of cigarette smoke (although it's not smoking policy is in effect), and be a hit and miss on the type of crowd. This was more of a local crowd, relaxed, not uptight, dressed casually (nice jeans, nice top for both men and women), and quite the range of people. I was a little nervous at first because a transgender gentleman walked in and sat at the bar. I was more nervous that someone was going to start messing with her. In my little part of the world we aren't used to seeing transgender men or women, but the staff, and people continued on socializing, partying, drinking, buying each other shot after shot, and making friends. Great atmosphere, for socializing, and dancing while drinking. I really enjoyed myself at this little hidden local spot.More

Loud bars typically aren't my thing, but I'm also not a fan of the kind of bars typically found down in the Financial District. Yes, it's a loud boisterous kind of place, but it's also a ton of fun and you'd have to try really...hard to not enjoy yourself. If you find yourself in the Financial District, you should definitelyMore

Great place for some loud Friday Happy Hour fun! Drinks are pricey and weak.....BUT the jukebox is loud, the female bartenders are entertaining (yes there is a stripper pole and swing over the bar). The crowd is raucous and fun!

This place was recommended for being a dive bar at the web... Well... Not so sure. There was hardly any people, just some "locals" in one end of the bar playing billiards. Not sure if the door man needs glasses, as I in the age...over 40 had to show id.... I dont look 21 anymore... Had one beer and went on to better places.More

Didn't eat but we certainly were drank and were happily entertained not only by the staff but was also fortunate to have great conversation with additional patrons. Our bartender - Lisa - was a great conversationist and also a Marine. Drop in, thank Lisa for...her service (sunday's only) and have a burger or hot dog on the hpuse. Keep the shiny side up. **Parking was a little awkward - eve with the bike - but the garage next door allows you to park for $15 for the day.More

Our first night in the East Village and a burger was called for by our 4 teenage boys. Recommended by a local we talked to in Tompkins Square Park (yes we talked to the locals) he not only us told about this place but walked...us to the door. We were so glad he did as the burgers were great, you can watch the guys cook from the table and because there was 6 of us we got a free pitcher of beer (unfortunatly I had to drink it all and no it did not influence this review). This was an excellent start to an East Village feast, with great food each night after a full days sightseeing and all within walking distance of our apartment.More
