Went through quite a lot of different dishes and while there were a couple of standouts, quite a lot of the dishes were good but not great. I knew it was quite a pricey restaurant but not too bad overall. Not sure if the hype was warranted when compared to some lesser known NY restaurants that are cheaper and better.

Finally got to the original Nobu in Tribeca this past (holiday) weekend. It's been there 21 years so we figured we really should check it out especially since we were staying at a hotel less than a 10 minute walk away, and boy are we glad we went. Warm greeting upon entrance, very nice looking space, tables spaced enough so... More

Love this place because of the fantastic quality of food and the service it offers. It is very noisy but the tables and the location is beautiful. It's better if you book a place because there are a lot of people. This place costs a bit too much!

This was my 2nd visit to Nobu and I did the chef's tasting menu both times. This time was just as delicious as the first. I lost count but think there were about 9 courses. Fresh, fun, special. You'll pay but it's worth the splurge.

food was good as most food around here is a little bland. good wine list but the staff act like you are an inconvenience. this is typical of the island. not the worst we saw, just different to irish / uk or american standard. again, great wines and food.

A small room, but attractive, the sushi station central to the space, the tables set around it. Decor in shades of taupe, chocolate, black. Some silver in the upholstery maybe. Simple. Understated. Tranquil is the word. Here the food does all the talking. Five courses of the highest quality seafood, of the highest quality culinary skill, of the most delicate... More

We made a reservation with Nobu before visiting from the UK. We booked this as a treat for our last night in New York and it was a really fitting way of rounding off our trip. We loved the ambience of this place - it was busy and full of life. The service was excellent and the food was exceptional.... More

Nobu has been in our regular restaurant rotation for years. When out of town friends come to visit - they always ask to go to Nobu (actually any of the branches as menu is the same). The food here is and has always been incredibly delicious and consistent! The service is efficient and reliable and everyone leaves very satisfied. The... More

We are big fans of Nobu in Perth so the original restaurant was a must visit for us in NYC! Unsure what to order, well we went for the Omakase (Chefs choice) degustation style menu with matched wines! The cold options were amazing! The hots were a step down and I'm not really a dessert person but my partner cleaned... More

Loved their hot dishes especially the black cos with miso and the lobster with vegetables. Have a bowl of rice to go along with these hot dishes if you have an Asian palate. The yellowtail with jalapeño was absolutely tasty with a tangy citrus sauce that was elevated by a tiny piece of jalapeño. Cocktails here were a bit strong... More

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
