My first time having Sushi! Great location , wonderful ambience, fantastic food! It was my daughters birthday and we mentioned this to Andy, the waiter who was very attentive to the guests! We have a sushi experience and a mix of a cook menu, Andy advised us what to have and we had a blast!! The desert was nice, smooth... More

We've been wanting to dine at the original Nobu, and finally made it happen on a recent visit to NYC. We received a warm welcome from the host staff, and our server Hiromi was excellent. Hiromi provided the right attention and information throughout our dining experience, and her service levels made our experience special. Thank you! We opted for the... More

I hope my date wasn't offended that i could not keep my eyes off the decor. Every inch was magnificent The Arctic Char, The Duck, The sashimi, and AHHHH, the tiramisu was transcendent. My date would not let me look at the menu so I have no idea of the prices but I suspect it was a fortune. The White... More

A decent meal but for $500 for two without much alcohol it was a disappointment compared to similar restaurants where we have dined worldwide. To top it off, the waiter just plopped the check on the table at the end without asking if we wanted coffee or anything else. Fortunately for Nobu, there is a constant flow of tourists in... More

When we got to Nobu we were a bit hesitant because the front waiting area appeared crowded and chaotic. But the front desk couldn't have been nicer and when we were finally seated everything was terrific. The service was attentive but even more than that the food was delectable. Our waitress gave us excellent guidance on what and how to... More

I was not impressed by the sushi but the rest was great. Service very professional. I really liked the explanation and presentation of each dish. Expensive but worth it

I often eat alone. On business trips, on weekends and for brunch. What can I say? I love food and who cares if no one is around to join me? Nobu is one of the rare restaurants where you can explore and linger and not be treated like a nuisance. From my waiter patiently explaining dish preparations to the attentive... More

Nobu has been around forever, but its food is consistently excellent! Just ate there last week and it was as good as it was when it first opened. All of the food is excellent. The service great and the staff is very friendly without any attitude. The hardest thing about it is getting a table. Highly recommend if you can... More

My wife and I love sushi/sashimi so we went to Nobu with friends. The smartest thing I did was let my friends order for us- I ate course after sharing course that I never would have ordered myself. Yes the 1 sushi/sashimi dish was excellent, but all the other, more unusual creations were exceptional. The most creative and delicious Japanese... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
