We have eaten here a couple of times and never been disappointed. You know what is great about this place? None of the intimidating arrogance of some of the "fancy pants" French restaurants in town. If you are a wine drinker , the wine menu, by glass or bottle, is HUGE. You will be happy. If you like bistro French... More

I have been subjected to staying in Midtown on business the last couple of winters and since my hotel is so close to this snug little place, I've checked it out for dinner on several occasions, most often with work colleagues. We all pretty much feel the same way: The place is adorable atmosphere-wise. Would be great on a date.... More

Took lunch Christmas Day. Delightful Bistro atmosphere rarely found in USA. Menu choice limited but the real deal: oysters, French onion soup, confit de canard, moules marinieres... and a wine list featuring some excellent selections, especially the Bordeaux. Top that off with good jazz - what more can you ask for!

Food is good but service is horrible. Too many tables and only one waitress. We had to say that we were going to leave if they don't take the order

On many business trips, I've stayed near Le Bateau Ivre and have wanted to try it out. As our meetings ended, my colleagues and I decided to eat there. It was wonderful! Great wine list, great raw bar selections, great cheese, charcuterie, and entrees. But the best part was the amazing staff! They worked as a team to make our... More

After we arrived to our hotel, Pod 51, decided to eat at this French restaurant. The food was good but our experience was ruined with too loud of music. Couldn't hear the waitress and couldn't have a conversation with my friends. We asked her 2-3 times to please turn down the music, but really didn't make much difference. This is... More

My sister and I reserved a table a table for 4:45 on a Saturday and were seated right away. The wait- staff was very attentive and helpful with the menu. Our sommelier picked out an excellent red and we had their cheese plate for an appetizer, which was divine. My sister couldn't say enough good things about the onion soup... More

We make a point of coming here regularly on Sunday afternoons - the ambiance is wonderful - given the quality of the wines, food and jazz musicians (a "tight" group that plays well and plays at a sound level that is perfect for the room - you'll want to listen and can still hear/ talk to those with you). Fine... More

First went there as they have extended hours and I was late getting into Manhattan. Went back for a second visit. Good wait staff. My dining partner had a fish that was prepared well. I had my usual salad and a foie gras dish. Good wine list It is a bit noisy until 10 or so, then begins to simmer... More

Came here alone on my first night in NY and had the steak frites with a nice crozes hermitage. Everything was well done and I felt like I was in Paris.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
