Walkers is a great neighborhood bar/restaurant and we've been going there for years. The service is friendly, the food is good - it's great for a cold beer and amazing burgers and fries (and other choices, of course). Reservations required for weekend evenings. We highly recommend Walkers.

Old New York with large plate glass windows looking out on the street...with a fun waiter who made the day. Bar plus two intimate, separate dining area with tin cieling and wood floors, makes it easy to close your eyes and think 1895. We were there for brunch and had great burgers and fries, delicious salads, all prepared to perfection... More

Great Food, attentive service, cool old NY bar atmosphere. Nothing fancy but suburb Tribeca lunch or dinner spot. Not a tourist trap. Located next door to jfk Jr's last apartment. No wonder he liked this block. I'd have every meal here if I lived in the neighborhood!

Expect an authentic and unfancy experience at Walkers - nice people, good food. A great stop where you feel welcome and can relax.

The place: Authentic corner bar with tin ceiling, wooden floors and classic interior woodwork. In the front door and you have small tables, with linens, to the left. Two rows of 4-5 deep with seating for 4. Straight ahead is the bar with plenty of choices on tap from IPA to Hefeweizen, pilsner and more with a full selection of... More

Popped by with my girl and directly got a table (take one in the more quiet part of the restaurant behind the bar). Waitress was funny, active and worth the tip. Food was served quickly and tasted really good. A nice detail: They have a glass of crayons on each table and before you start thinking about, you already draw... More

I'm from Oregon and visit family in NY pretty regularly. This is one of my favorite NY restaurants. The food is deliciious - the wait staff is fun and friendly. The bar is packed with locals and so are the tables. People come back because of the food and great drinks. Hey...you might even see someone who starred in the... More

A few weeks ago, while the wives were at a nearby bridal shower, 4 hungry guys were looking for a place to eat breakfast on a Sunday. We found Walkers and decided to give it a try. When we entered, it looked tiny and there were a few folks in front of us and I thought, great... were never gonna... More

Nice neighborhood place for a quick appetizer and drink, or for dinner. The food was delicious. We sat in the back room by the front window....very relaxing.

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
